On January 29, the Emulation Cluster of Southern Provinces organized a conference to summarize the emulation movement and trade union activities in 2025. The conference was hosted by the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation - Head of the Emulation Cluster of Southern Provinces.
In 2025, trade union levels in the Cluster have proactively adapted to the arrangement and streamlining of the organizational structure, ensuring smooth operation. The entire Cluster currently manages over 1.7 million union members, continuing to promote the role of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers.
During the year, the Emulation and Development Cluster increased by 76,965 union members; newly established 443 grassroots trade unions and professional unions; introduced 7,970 outstanding union members for Party consideration, of which 3,105 union members were admitted, contributing to consolidating a strong trade union organization.
The work of caring for the lives of union members continues to be a bright spot. During the Lunar New Year 2025, trade union levels in the Cluster presented 312,450 gifts and bus tickets with a budget of over 528 billion VND; supported 18,642 union members in difficult circumstances, built 595 "Trade Union Homes" and organized 1,248 "Trade Union Meals".
Speaking at the conference, Ms. Ho Thi Hoang Yen - Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee affirmed that building the working class and trade union activities has always been identified by the Provincial Party Committee as an important task in the sustainable development strategy of the locality.
Ms. Ho Thi Hoang Yen noted that in the context of implementing organizational structure arrangement, trade union levels have shown a spirit of responsibility, proactiveness, and flexibility; both performing the task of arrangement and maintaining stable operations, taking good care of union members and workers.
Standing Deputy Secretary of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee emphasized that in the coming time, the Provincial Party Committee will continue to pay attention to and create favorable conditions for the Trade Union organization to promote its representative role well, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations.
Speaking to direct the conference, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor highly appreciated the solidarity and responsibility of the Labor Federations of provinces in the Southern Emulation Cluster, especially in the context of many organizational changes.
Ms. Thai Thu Xuong said that the programs to care for union members, patriotic emulation movements and trade union operating models have closely followed grassroots levels, creating motivation for workers to feel secure in working and attached to businesses.
The Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor requested trade union levels to continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, promote digital transformation, and improve the quality of dialogue and collective bargaining in the coming time.
At the conference, the emulation cluster of Southern provinces voted and considered rewards for 2025. As a result, Vinh Long Trade Union was proposed to be awarded the Leading Emulation Flag of the Cluster; Ca Mau Trade Union and Dong Thap Trade Union were proposed to be awarded Certificates of Merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
