On March 31, Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation organized a conference to summarize Trade Union activities in the first quarter of 2026 and deploy key tasks in the second quarter of 2026.
According to a report from the Provincial Labor Federation, in the first quarter, 4,161 new union members were developed, 5 grassroots trade unions and 3 commune and ward trade unions were established.
In addition, trade union levels have taken good care of the lives of union members and workers with many practical activities during Tet, effectively implementing the program "Tet Sum vay - Spring of Gratitude to the Party", contributing to consolidating trust and increasing attachment to the organization.
Propaganda and mobilization work has been promoted, especially on digital platforms, attracting a large number of union members to participate. Labor relations are basically stable, and arising issues are promptly grasped, protecting the legitimate rights of workers.
At the conference, delegates focused on discussing many important contents such as the experience of developing union members in non-state-owned enterprises; solutions to improve the rate of mobilizing workers to join trade unions; improving the quality of lunch meals; and strengthening the capacity of grassroots trade union officials...
The delegate also watched a documentary clip on the results of Trade Union activities in the first quarter associated with summarizing 10 years of implementing Resolution 7c/NQ-BCH, 15 years of implementing Resolution 6a/NQ-BCH and preliminary review of Resolution 28-NQ/TW, thereby clearly recognizing the results, limitations and key tasks in the coming time.
Speaking to direct at the conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Nhung - Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Long province acknowledged and praised the positive results of Trade Union levels in the first quarter of 2026, emphasizing the clear change in the quality of activities.
She highly appreciated the innovation of operating methods, especially the multi-platform application in propaganda and effective care for workers. Tet activities are implemented promptly, contributing to stabilizing labor relations and supporting sustainable business development.

The conference also commended collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in trade union activities in 2025, contributing to spreading good models and effective practices throughout the system.
Speaking at the closing of the conference, Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Provincial Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation - emphasized that after a period of serious work, the conference completed the entire content of the program, recording many heartfelt and responsible opinions from the grassroots level.
Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh requested trade union levels to focus on breaking through in the work of developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions, especially in the non-state business sector; proactively review and mobilize employees to join the organization with the motto "going to each business, meeting each employee", striving to complete the set targets.
Continue to innovate the content and methods of operation in a practical and effective direction; improve the quality of care for life, protect workers' rights; promote the creative labor movement, organize a good Workers' Month and occupational safety and health activities, taking the satisfaction of union members as a measure of effectiveness.
Also on March 31, the Provincial Labor Federation organized a conference to summarize the activities of the Trade Union in the first quarter of 2026, deploying key tasks for the second quarter of 2026 in the Ben Tre and Tra Vinh areas (before the merger), to create the most convenient conditions for grassroots trade unions.
