According to a report from the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor (VFF), from December 15 to 21, many activities will be organized, including the successful organization of the 1st Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030, marking the step of perfecting the organization after the arrangement and consolidation according to the general policy.
The Provincial Federation of Labor organized a training course on knowledge on environmental protection, occupational safety and hygiene for union officials, occupational safety and hygiene, with the participation of leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, environmental experts and 120 delegates.
Through the conference, grassroots union officials were raised in awareness and skills to direct union members and workers to participate in waste collection and treatment, improve the landscape of factories and enterprises, contributing to building advanced new rural areas and civilized urban areas.
Along with that, the Provincial Federation of Labor will implement a cooperation agreement with Hoang Tam Production, Trade and Service Company Limited, implement a welfare program for union members, helping workers enjoy preferential policies when purchasing goods and using services.
Regarding organization, the Provincial Trade Union issued a decision to recognize the Executive Committee, Inspection Committee and key positions for 353 grassroots trade unions for the 2025-2030 term, and proposed position allowances according to regulations.
In the policy field, the Provincial Trade Union reported a preliminary review of 5 years of implementing the Labor Code in 2019, and at the same time implemented Directive 39-CT/TW of the Secretariat on improving the effectiveness of social policy credit in the new period.
In addition, the Provincial Trade Union established inspection and supervision teams at 5 grassroots trade unions and announced the allocation of scholarships to poor students who are children of workers in Cho Lach, Ngai Tu, Binh Phu communes in the 2026 Military-Civilian Tet program.
Currently, the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor is managing 604 grassroots unions and trade unions with 161,814 union members out of a total of 181,469 employees.
