Today, many areas in Ho Chi Minh City continue to be covered by a layer of fog, high-rise buildings are covered in hazy fog. On major roads such as Vo Van Kiet, Hanoi Highway..., there are times when traffic participants have to turn on their lights.

Some people said that this phenomenon has appeared for many consecutive days, causing an uncomfortable feeling. Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa (residing in Thu Duc ward) shared: "Every morning I drive to work early, the fog has become much thicker in the past few days. Seeing the clear sky like usual, the air is heavy, it feels like there is fine dust.

According to the air monitoring application Air Visual (under IQAir, Switzerland), air quality in Ho Chi Minh City at 8am is at a sensitive level, with an AQI of 117. The PM2.5 fine dust concentration was measured at 42 μg/m3, about 8.4 times higher than the average annual guidance value of the World Health Organization (WHO).

According to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, the continental cold high pressure will continue to strengthen and shift to the East, then have stable intensity. The Northeast wind has an average intensity over the sea areas of the Southeast. Above, the subtropical high pressure in the western branch will develop and expand to the East, with an axis through the Central region.
Therefore, the weather is dry, humidity decreases, some days have cold weather at night and early morning, and the strong sunshine during the day will affect health.
