According to a report by the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation, from March 2nd to March 8th, the unit implemented many key activities associated with trade union tasks and propaganda work for the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026–2031 term.
During the week, the Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation, 2 members of the Standing Committee and 1 member of the Executive Committee participated in voter contact conferences for candidates to the Provincial People's Council for the term 2026–2031 according to the plan of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Long province. The conferences were aimed at creating conditions for voters to meet and exchange with candidates, and at the same time campaign for elections according to regulations.
At the same time, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation also promoted propaganda about the election on the media channels of the trade union organization, especially introducing the action program of 4 trade union officials participating in the election of delegates to the Provincial People's Council for the 2026–2031 term.
Implementing the direction of the People's Committee of Vinh Long province, the Provincial Labor Federation organized a national flag salute and national anthem singing on Monday morning of the first week of the month for officials, civil servants, and employees of agencies; combined with telling stories about Uncle Ho and drawing lessons in work and activities.
In personnel organization work, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation has evaluated and proposed the ranking level for the first quarter of 2026 for cadres under the management of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee; in which it is proposed that 1 comrade complete tasks excellently, and 3 comrades complete tasks well.

To celebrate the 116th anniversary of International Women's Day March 8 and the 1986th anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung Uprising, the Provincial Labor Federation organized many activities to care for union members and workers. Notably, the "Men in the Kitchen" Contest in 2026 with 64 participating teams; The Organizing Committee awarded 29 certificates of merit and 17 million VND in prizes to teams with high achievements.
In addition, the program to visit and give gifts to 790 female union members and workers of 88 grassroots trade unions was also implemented with a total budget of 395 million VND.
Grassroots trade unions also responded to "Ao Dai Week", organizing gatherings, cultural exchanges, sports festivals... with a total cost of over 500 million VND, contributing to caring for the spiritual life of union members and workers.
