On the morning of March 8, on Sinh Ton Island (Truong Sa special zone), officers, soldiers and people on the island participated in the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term.
This is one of the 20 polling stations of Truong Sa special zone organizing early elections one week before the mainland to ensure working conditions, combat readiness and specific tasks of forces performing tasks at sea and islands.

Truong Sa Island alone will hold elections on March 15th with the whole country.
Attending the election were Colonel Bui Quang Thuyen - Deputy Commander of Naval Region 4, along with a large number of officers, soldiers and people living on the island.
From early morning, the polling area on Sinh Ton Island was brilliantly decorated with flags, flowers, banners, and slogans to celebrate election day. The polling room was solemnly arranged with the national flag, President Ho Chi Minh's photo and ballot boxes placed in a solemn position.

The list of voters and summary biographies of candidates are fully posted, creating conditions for voters to learn and study before exercising their voting rights.
In the joyful atmosphere of the country festival, from very early morning many families on the island were present at the polling station to participate in the election.
Ms. Nguyen Le Chi shared: "Being able to participate in the election in the sacred sea and islands of the Fatherland is a great honor for every citizen here. We are always clearly aware of our rights and responsibilities to choose worthy delegates to represent the will and aspirations of the People.


At exactly 7 o'clock, the Command of Sinh Ton Island held a solemn flag salute ceremony, then representatives of the election team announced the reason, introduced delegates, approved the voting room regulations and announced the opening of the election.
Next, the election team disseminated the process and guided voters to implement the voting steps in accordance with regulations. Voters in turn presented their voter cards, received ballots for National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels, entered the area to write secret ballots and personally voted into the ballot box.
Corporal Le Hai Dang - a soldier working at Sinh Ton Island shared: "Being able to exercise my citizenship right on the frontline island of the Fatherland is a great pride for me. I have carefully researched the list of candidates to choose those who are truly worthy, contributing to building an increasingly developed country.
Thanks to careful preparation, on election day at Sinh Ton Island, voting unit No. 7 took place seriously, in accordance with the law, ensuring democracy, safety and thrift.
