VNPT Group has just announced the labor accident situation from the beginning of 2026 to date and measures to prevent and limit labor accidents, occupational diseases, and ensure safety for workers.
In order to prevent and limit labor accidents and traffic accidents for workers, the Group issued Document No. 7035/VNPT-NL, requesting leaders of units to coordinate with the VNPT Trade Union (under the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology) at the same level to implement specific contents.
Accordingly, provide complete information on the developments of labor accidents to all workers to draw experience; strengthen propaganda, training and require workers to strictly comply with the Law on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), procedures and measures to ensure safety for work with strict OSH requirements.
Proactively review and evaluate dangerous and harmful factors at the workplace; develop measures and plans for safe work, ensuring effective risk control; disseminate and guide workers to grasp regulations on safe distance to overhead power lines, electrical discharge distance according to the Electricity Law and guiding documents when performing tasks such as installation, repair, maintenance, cable recovery, overhead work, operation of axles, and lifting vehicles.
When assigning tasks, it is necessary to ensure that workers are healthy enough to work at heights; do not arrange for workers to work in unsafe conditions or after a long working time leading to fatigue and reduced concentration; review roads and workplaces with high risk of traffic accidents to develop appropriate work organization plans, limit movement in bad weather or at night...
Propagating and strictly implementing fire prevention and fighting regulations; controlling flammable equipment and materials; arranging supplies and scientific documents; ensuring clear escape routes; checking electrical equipment before leaving.
When a labor accident occurs, the unit must fully and promptly report to the State management agency and the Group to coordinate in resolving it according to regulations. The Group requests units to proactively coordinate with the unit's trade union to urgently implement the above contents to prevent and limit labor accidents, traffic accidents, fire and explosion incidents, and ensure safety and health for workers.
