Announcing the decision to establish a commune and ward trade union
The Standing Committee of the Ca Mau Provincial Federation of Labor has just held a conference to announce the decision to establish a commune and ward union under the Provincial Federation of Labor.
Ca Mau province has 64 communes and wards, 11 commune and ward unions under the Provincial Federation of Labor that are eligible to be established.
Ms. Tran Ha Bao Khuyen - Chairman of Vinh Loi Commune Trade Union - said that the commune trade union is a new model, facing great opportunities and challenges, requiring the trade union organization to actively innovate the content and methods of operation with practical and effective emulation movements towards workers. The Executive Committee of the Vinh Loi Commune Trade Union will promote a sense of responsibility, innovate thinking and creativity in working methods so that union activities can truly spread, attract a large number of union members to participate, contributing to improving the lives and spirit of local workers.
Ms. Tran Thi Phuong Trang - Chairwoman of Phuoc Long Commune Trade Union - said that this time, commune-level trade union activities are very new. Currently, the locality has partially autonomous units, so there should be specific instructions to manage union members and develop union members.

At the conference, the Standing Committee of the Ca Mau Provincial Federation of Labor announced and presented the Decision to establish 11 commune and ward trade unions including: Bac Lieu Ward, Gia Rai Ward, Tan Thanh Ward, An Xuyen Ward, Ly Van Lam Ward, Vinh Loi Commune, Phuoc Long Commune, Cai Nuoc Commune, Nam Can Commune, Thoi Binh Commune and Tran Van Thoi Commune. At the same time, the Decisions to appoint the Executive Committee of the Commune and Ward Trade Unions; key positions of the Commune and Ward Trade Unions were announced and awarded.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Ca Mau Provincial Federation of Labor Huynh Ut Muoi emphasized that the establishment of a Trade Union organization at the commune and ward levels is an important step in the work of consolidating and perfecting the trade union apparatus in the direction of streamlining and efficiency, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new period.
The Chairman of the Ca Mau Provincial Federation of Labor requested the newly established team of commune and ward union officials to stabilize the organization; immediately deploy tasks; continue to promote intelligence, practical experience, improve work quality and efficiency, continue to do a good job of caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers.
The day after announcing the decisions, the Standing Committee of the Ca Mau Provincial Federation of Labor met with the Standing Committee of 11 newly established commune and ward trade unions. At the meeting, each professional department of the Provincial Federation of Labor affirmed that it will share difficulties and accompany the Commune and Ward Trade Unions in the coming time.
