On August 9, Mr. Pham Hoai Phuong - Chairman of the Vietnam Construction Trade Union said that, implementing Resolution No. 60-NQ/TW dated April 12, 2025 of the Central Executive Committee (term XIII), Official Letter No. 4173/TLD-ToC dated May 28, 2025 on the arrangement of trade union organizations according to Conclusion No. 157-KL/TW dated May 25, 2025 of the Politburo, the Vietnam Construction Trade Union issued decisions to dissolve the organization and end the operation of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, inspection committee for 6 trade unions at the level directly above the administrative agency, public service sector receiving 100% salary from the state budget according to regulations, including: Trade Union of the Ministry of Construction Agency, Trade Union of the Ministry of Transport Agency, Vietnam Road Trade Union, Vietnam Airports Trade Union, Vietnam Airports Trade Union, Vietnam Airports Trade Union, Vietnam Airports Trade Union.
The decision to dissolve the organization and end the operation of the Executive Committee and the inspection committee for the two grassroots trade unions under the management and operation of agencies receiving 100% of salaries from the state budget, including: Vietnam Railway Authority Trade Union; Construction Investment Management Agency Trade Union.
Before the dissolutions, the direct superior trade unions at the grassroots level transferred 83 affiliated grassroots trade unions (with 9,230 union members) which are enterprises and public service units that do not receive 100% of their salaries from the state budget to the Vietnam Construction Trade Union.
Recently, the Vietnam Construction Trade Union also held a conference to receive 83 grassroots trade unions under its management.
Accordingly, the total number of grassroots trade unions under the Vietnam Construction Trade Union is currently 764 units, with 132,622 union members.
Chairman of the Vietnam Construction Trade Union Pham Hoai Phuong said that from now until the end of the year, trade unions at all levels in the industry will continue to promote the tradition of solidarity, responsibility and proactiveness of the trade union organization, while focusing all resources and effectively implementing key tasks in the last months of the year to comprehensively complete the set targets.
Units continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, focusing on the grassroots, focusing on practical activities for union members and workers, especially in the context of many difficulties in the lives and jobs of workers. All programs and work plans need to put the interests of union members and workers at the center, as the top priority goal.
"Based on the actual situation of each unit, develop a practical and thoughtful care plan for union members and workers from now until Tet. The Vietnam Construction Trade Union will directly accompany and coordinate with the grassroots to effectively implement it" - Mr. Pham Hoai Phuong affirmed.
