On July 24, in Da Nang city, the Vietnam Construction Trade Union held a conference to review the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of the year. Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - attended the conference.
According to Mr. Pham Hoai Phuong - Chairman of the Vietnam Construction Trade Union (VTC), since the beginning of the year, trade unions at all levels in the industry have focused on taking care of the lives, jobs, and income of union members and workers.

In response to Workers' Month and Labor Safety and Hygiene Action Month (OSH) in 2025, trade unions at all levels have organized many practical activities such as the Vietnam Construction Trade Union awarding 1,120 gifts (each gift worth 1 million VND) to union members and workers in difficult circumstances. The Vietnam Transport Trade Union Charity Fund has supported 13 groups and 718 employees in difficult circumstances with a total amount of 1.497 billion VND.
Trade unions at all levels have supported the construction of 9 new Trade Union Shelters with an amount of 720 million VND, organized periodic health check-ups for nearly 30,000 people; coordinated inspections of more than 1,000 occupational safety and health, organized 335 training courses for nearly 20,000 people.
Trade unions at all levels also actively coordinate with the professional organization to organize conferences of workers, conferences of civil servants and public employees, thereby effectively implementing the grassroots democracy regulations. There have been 46 new collective labor agreements signed, 296 have been amended and supplemented with many provisions that are more beneficial to employees than those prescribed by law, especially regarding wages, working hours, shift meals, and labor safety.
Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements of the Vietnam Construction Trade Union in the first 6 months of the year, especially in activities to care for and protect the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers.
The Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor suggested that in the coming time, the Vietnam Construction Trade Union should continue to seriously implement the arrangement and consolidation of the organization according to the direction of the Central Government and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. Strengthen the work of caring for the material and spiritual lives of union members and workers, focusing on ensuring income, wages, and quality shift meals at the workplace. Proactively develop a practical and effective Tet care plan. Continue to launch and implement patriotic emulation movements, emulation movements for good labor, creative labor, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere in all levels of trade unions and at each agency, unit, and enterprise.

Along with that, it is necessary to actively prepare conditions to serve the Trade Union Congresses at all levels, ensuring progress, quality, practicality and efficiency. Participate in Party Congresses at all levels through coordinating the organization of propaganda, cultural and artistic activities to welcome the congress; giving comments on the draft political report; introducing qualified union officials for the Party Committee to consider and restructure into the new term Party Committee. In addition, continue to promote the development of union members and the establishment of grassroots unions, contributing to consolidating and improving the quality of union activities in the new situation...
Also on this occasion, in order to improve the capacity to apply information technology in trade union activities and promote the effective exploitation and use of artificial intelligence tools to serve digital transformation in work, especially communication work, the Vietnam Construction Trade Union organized a training course with the theme " applying artificial intelligence, contributing to improving the effectiveness of trade union communication".
At the training course, Mr. Trinh Quoc Bao - Deputy Director of VNPT Da Nang Information Technology - directly conveyed the thematic content, shared experiences and instructed union members on how to approach and apply some popular and practical AI tools in current communication activities.
