
Currently, the Vietnam Health Trade Union (VTC) has 115 grassroots unions (CDCS), with a total of 58,972 union members/60,959 workers. As an organization representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers in the industry, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor always strives to innovate the content and methods of operation to meet the requirements in the new situation.
In the first 6 months of 2025, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has implemented many practical programs, focusing on caring for the material and spiritual lives of union members and workers, especially those in difficult cases affected by natural disasters, epidemics or the restructuring process of the unit.
The grassroots trade unions in the whole industry have coordinated to take care of the Lunar New Year 2025 for 25,964 members and employees, with a total support budget of up to 17.6 billion VND. Implemented 6 support rounds with a total cost of VND 2.153 billion for 3,077 union members and workers in difficulty at 100 grassroots unions. Supported 291 gifts worth 87.3 million VND for units in remote areas with many shortages.
During Workers' Month and Labor Safety and Hygiene Action Month (OSH) in 2025, the US Labor Union continues to affirm its pioneering role through many practical activities. Organized the launching ceremony of Workers' Month and the Conference to honor 194 excellent workers and laborers in the health sector, creating motivation for emulation and striving in the entire sector; awarded 65 commemorative medals of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to trade union officials; awarded 16 collectives and 32 individuals who won prizes in the online contest to learn about legal knowledge about occupational safety and health to improve awareness and skills for workers. Coordinate with the professional unit to compile and issue "Handbook on vaccine use for health workers" and "Champaign of outstanding songs in the health sector" to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Vietnam Teachers' Day. Propagate the implementation of major Resolutions of the Party and State such as Resolution 57 on breakthroughs in the development of science and technology and digital transformation.
To carry out the task of streamlining the organizational apparatus, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has reduced 1 committee, dissolved 10 trade unions with civil servants and employees receiving 100% of the State budget, a total of 1,364 union members. Receive 13 units under the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and a number of affiliated and non-state grassroots unions with a total of 5,313 union members.
The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor coordinates with the Ministry of Health to effectively implement social charity work, gratitude, and temporary house removal programs according to the Government's policy. In particular, social resources have been mobilized to support money and goods worth 800 million VND for health care and soldiers in the 4th Naval Region; 500 million VND and goods to visit families with meritorious services to the revolution in Nghia Tru - Hung Yen commune.
