On the afternoon of September 24, the An Giang Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) held a signing conference of a Cooperation Agreement between Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade - Kien Giang Branch and the Provincial Federation of Labor to implement the Project "Organizing Trade Unions to Prevent Black Credit among Workers".
The purpose of the agreement is to enhance coordination, commitment to responsibility and efficiency between the two sides in implementing the Project to help workers improve their lives and proactively prevent illegal credit. Enhance the role and prestige of the Trade Union organization in caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers, increase the number of workers participating in the Trade Union organization, and build a strong Vietnam Trade Union.
At the program, representatives of VietinBank Kien Giang's leadership presented the content of the Coordination Agreement between the two sides.
Accordingly, in the project implementation period from 2025 to 2030, it is expected to serve 5,500 employees at units directly under the grassroots trade union, affiliated units in An Giang province with a total budget of 500 billion VND. Thereby, helping employees increase their income, improve financial knowledge, improve living conditions and work with peace of mind, stay with the unit for a long time, contributing to preventing illegal credit.

VietinBank Kien Giang directly provides products and services to employees at the workplace; pays direct responsibility costs to the grassroots Trade Union for supporting capital support activities to employees at the unit according to a coordination agreement with the grassroots Trade Union in accordance with regulations.
Mr. Ho Canh Liem - Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam Branch, Region 15 - highly appreciated the initiative, sense of responsibility and determination of the two units. "The project will help employees have easy and convenient access to credit capital, contributing to reducing the problem of black credit in general and in the region in particular. This is truly a practical activity with profound humanitarian significance in building a healthy working environment, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of workers in An Giang", Mr. Liem emphasized.

Mr. Le Minh Kha - Director of VietinBank Kien Giang - said: In the context of the situation of illegal credit still being complicated, negatively affecting the lives, social security and especially the employees, the implementation of the Coordination Project is of great significance, contributing to protecting the rights and improving the material and spiritual life of employees.
VietinBank Kien Giang is committed to allocating preferential capital of up to VND500 billion to serve at least 5,500 employees to access reasonable and transparent loans, helping workers improve their living conditions, work with peace of mind, and stay away from black credit, Mr. Kha shared.
