On June 18, at the Cultural House of Vietnam Apatite One Member Limited Liability Company (Lao Cai), the Vietnam Chemical Industry Trade Union organized the opening ceremony of the 2026 Vietnam Chemical Group Workers, Civil Servants and Laborers Sports Festival in the Northern region.
Before the opening ceremony, leaders of the Group, delegates, athletes and a large number of officials, union members, and workers participated in the response run program.
The activity creates a vibrant atmosphere, spreads the spirit of physical exercise, improves health and strengthens the connection between units throughout the Group.
Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Le An Hai - Member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Vietnam Trade and Industry Union; Mr. Nguyen Huu Tu - General Director of Vietnam National Chemical Group; Mr. Nguyen Van Quy - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Group; Mr. Nguyen Van Luyen - Deputy General Director of the Group; Mr. Nguyen Huy Thong - Chairman of the Vietnam Chemical Industry Trade Union - and leaders of member units.
This year's sports festival gathers nearly 500 athletes from 17 delegations participating in 5 sports including football, volleyball, pickleball, badminton and table tennis.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Huy Thong - Chairman of the Vietnam Chemical Industry Trade Union, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Sports Festival - emphasized that health is a precious asset of each worker and an important foundation for sustainable business development.
According to Mr. Thong, maintaining and developing the sports movement not only contributes to improving the physical and spiritual life of workers but also creates motivation to improve labor productivity and build a positive and united working environment.
The sports festival is an opportunity for officials, union members, and workers of units to exchange, learn, strengthen solidarity, and at the same time spread the movement of physical training and sports throughout the group," said Mr. Nguyen Huy Thong.
The Chairman of the Vietnam Chemical Industry Trade Union also requested athletes to compete with a spirit of solidarity, honesty, and nobility; referees to officiate objectively and impartially; and the Organizing Committee to ensure conditions for the Sports Festival to take place safely and effectively.
At the opening ceremony, representatives of the refereeing team and athletes performed the oath-taking ceremony, expressing their determination to compete and manage the tournament in accordance with regulations, fairly and objectively.
Sports Festival for Workers, Civil Servants, and Laborers of Vietnam National Chemical Group 2026 in the Northern region takes place on two days, June 18-19. 6.
This is an annual activity of practical significance, contributing to improving the spiritual and cultural life of workers, building a dynamic and connected working environment and creating motivation to complete the production and business goals of the group in 2026.
