On February 23, the Ho Chi Minh City Export Processing and Industrial Zones Authority said that many businesses in the area have resumed production. Currently, the unit is statistically counting the number of businesses and the rate of workers returning to work on the first day of the year.
In the Northern region of Ho Chi Minh City, there are about 1,100 enterprises with grassroots trade unions with more than 200,000 union members and workers. Working Group No. 9 of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation said that about 90% of enterprises have restarted production. Currently, enterprises are welcoming workers back to factories.
Notably, among the businesses that have been operating, Diamond Vietnam Co., Ltd. (My Phuoc 1 Industrial Park, Ben Cat Ward) has 4,200 workers, of which about 70% of workers have returned to the factory; Motomotion Vietnam Co., Ltd. (My Phuoc 3 Industrial Park, Thoi Hoa Ward) has thousands of workers returning to the factory to participate in production. These businesses are welcoming workers back to work after the Tet holidays, and at the same time planning to recruit more workers at the beginning of the year.

Meanwhile, in Bau Bang commune, Mr. Luu The Thuan - Chairman of the Commune Trade Union said that on the first working day, about 45%, equivalent to about 11,473 workers in the area, returned to work. 15 businesses organized spring gatherings and gave lucky money at the beginning of the year to workers with levels ranging from 100,000 VND to 200,000 VND/person.
According to the leader of Bau Bang Commune Trade Union, on February 24 and 25, the number of operating businesses and the number of workers returning to work will be higher. Bau Bang Commune Trade Union is continuing to monitor the situation of businesses operating and workers returning to factories.
