On the morning of February 23, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor wished a Happy New Year to the collective of Lao Dong Newspaper.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang wished officials, reporters, editors, and employees of Lao Dong Newspaper a new spring of health, peace, prosperity, and all good things.

The President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor commented that in 2025, Lao Dong Newspaper had many advantages but also experienced many difficulties. The newspaper made efforts to overcome all difficulties to excellently complete its tasks.
The newspaper always affirms its position as one of the leading newspapers in the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press agencies, expressing the thoughts and aspirations of union members and workers nationwide; conveying the Party's guidelines, the State's policies, and the Trade Union organization to union members and workers," Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang assessed.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang noted that the newspaper has had many in-depth articles with high spread in society, contributing to protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers. Electronic newspapers have grown strongly, digital transformation has achieved many results. The newspaper has operated and upgraded the Electronic Information Portal of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. This is where union members and workers interact and communicate with agencies and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
The newspaper has also promoted the effectiveness of propaganda, transmission, and reflection of the thoughts and aspirations of union members and workers to the Party, State, Trade Union organization and the whole society. During the 14th National Party Congress, Lao Dong Newspaper promptly conveyed the information of the Congress to union members and workers.
Regarding the key tasks in 2026, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang emphasized that Lao Dong Newspaper must be one of the addresses contributing to bringing the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress into life soon.
Referring to Directive 58-CT/TW dated January 10, 2026 issued by the Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership over propaganda, political, ideological, and legal education for workers in the new situation, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang emphasized that political, ideological, and legal education for workers in the new situation is the central task of the newspaper in 2026.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang proposed that the newspaper must maintain its role as an important information channel of the trade union organization to promote and build a modern and strong working class, associated with the country's development goals.
In addition, the newspaper needs to promote the advantages of multi-platform journalism, strongly innovate content and form, strengthen communication products associated with the country's digital transformation work, and better serve union members and workers.
Through journalistic products, the newspaper needs to highlight the good things, push back the bad things, and contribute to building harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations. In addition, newspaper leaders need to continue to pay attention to and care for the lives of officials, reporters, and workers.

Each official, reporter, and worker of the newspaper must always cultivate professional knowledge, nghiệp vụ, and political bravery to properly understand the principles and purposes of the newspaper; promptly keep up with the progress of the whole society, entering a new stage of development," Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang advised.
On behalf of the Party Committee and the Editorial Board of Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hien - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Secretary of the Party Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Lao Dong Newspaper, received the directions of the President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and promised to continue to make more efforts with the collective, officials, reporters, editors, and workers in the new year, in order to successfully complete the assigned tasks.
