The Social Insurance Agency of Binh Duong province has informed about the social insurance debt situation of Hoang Sinh Import Export Joint Stock Company (abbreviated as Hoang Sinh Company, Hoa Phu ward, Thu Dau Mot city, Binh Duong province).
This is a company that has been owing wages and social insurance to its employees for many months. The incident has forced employees to stop working three times.
Mr. Nguyen Duy Hieu - Deputy Director of Binh Duong Social Insurance said that Hoang Sinh Company owes the Social Insurance up to 30.1 billion VND. The debt to Social Insurance has lasted from April 2023 until now.
Regarding the responsibility for collecting social insurance debts, a representative of Binh Duong Social Insurance Agency said that every month the unit has sent official dispatches to urge and request companies to pay social insurance contributions in accordance with regulations to ensure the rights of employees.
Binh Duong Social Insurance and Binh Duong Provincial Police have also coordinated to invite Hoang Sinh Import-Export Joint Stock Company to work three times to understand the situation and social insurance payment plan. However, this company did not follow the committed plan.
On August 1, the Book and Card Collection Management Department of Binh Duong Social Insurance sent a dispatch regarding non-payment of social insurance and health insurance to Binh Duong Provincial Police to coordinate support, take measures to prevent and handle to ensure the rights of workers.
On August 27, Binh Duong Social Insurance and many other agencies invited the company to work and requested the company to report on how to handle salaries and social insurance debts as well as the appropriation of employees' money. However, to date, there has been no report and the company has not made any deductions.
After that, the People's Committee of Binh Duong province issued an official dispatch assigning the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Binh Duong to preside over and work with relevant departments and agencies to promptly handle the matter and ensure the legitimate rights of workers. Currently, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Binh Duong has inspected this company. The Social Insurance Agency of Binh Duong is waiting for the conclusion of the inspection team to take the next steps.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that in 2024, hundreds of workers at Hoang Sinh Company had to stop working collectively three times to demand that the company pay their salaries and social insurance contributions. To date, the company still owes about 1,000 workers their salaries, each of whom owes 2 to 3 months of salary.
Currently, the employee has stopped working at this company, but the company has not yet taken steps to terminate the labor contract.
Due to long-term unpaid wages and social insurance payments, many workers are facing difficulties in their lives. Workers hope that the authorities will take more drastic action to protect their legitimate rights.
