Workers have enough loyalty to the business
Up to now, after 3 months of labor dispute, the case at Hoang Sinh Import Export Joint Stock Company (abbreviated as Hoang Sinh Company), in Phu Tan Industrial Park, Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong Province has not yet been resolved. This company still owes wages and social insurance contributions to its employees.
Mr. Nguyen Van Minh (born in 1965, from Ben Tre) said that he has been with Hoang Sinh Company for 20 years. Previously, the company owed Mr. Minh 5 months of salary (13th month - Tet bonus and April, May, June, July 2024). Despite the salary debt, thinking that the company was in difficulty, Mr. Minh still tried to go to the enterprise to work.
“Having been with the company for a long time, seeing that the company owed me salary, I thought that since the company was having difficulties, I should share. Therefore, for 4 months, I ate at home and went to work without receiving a salary. I still performed my work regularly, doing my best to share with the company, overcoming the difficult period.
I think the way I and other workers treat the company is already a great honor. However, for a long time, the company has been exporting goods without paying workers. I don't understand why" - Mr. Minh shared.
Similarly, Ms. Huynh Thi Ngoc Lien (born 1975, from Vinh Long) is also one of the long-time employees of Hoang Sinh Company.
“I have worked for this company for 17 years. Even though the company owes me salary, I have not quit my job. I still go to work regularly, hoping to help the company overcome difficulties. I consider myself to be living a life of loyalty to the company and my employer,” Ms. Lien shared.
According to the reporter's records, for a long time, nearly 1,000 workers came to Hoang Sinh Company to work and live in poverty, making ends meet; at times, they had no money to buy rice, pay rent, or pay school fees for their children.
“I still have to try to go to work, because the company still owes me social insurance for more than a year. If I quit my job here and go to work somewhere else, I won’t be able to pay social insurance. So I have to continue to be patient and go to work,” Mr. Minh shared.
Commitment to pay workers from October 15
On October 1, the Management Board of Industrial Parks of Binh Duong province said that the relevant departments had worked and issued a working record with Hoang Sinh Company. After that, the company also announced that it committed to pay salaries to its employees. According to the explanation, the salary payment was delayed because the customer's money had not arrived on time, so the commitment had not been fulfilled.
The Board of Directors of the company would like to apologize to all officers and employees for the delay in salary payment. Hoang Sinh Company commits to pay July 2024 salary no later than October 15, and August 2024 salary no later than October 25.
In addition, medical examination and treatment costs for employees in July-August 2024 will be resolved in October 2024.
The company also committed to paying health insurance and social insurance debts before December 31, 2024, and to providing support of VND 2 million to employees who quit their jobs in August 2024, before October 30, 2024.
