Sadness and anxiety of workers who are owed 3 months of wages

Binh Duong - Hundreds of workers at Hoang Sinh Company are still on strike, demanding that the company pay 3 months of unpaid wages.

On September 30, hundreds of workers at Hoang Sinh Import-Export Joint Stock Company (Hoang Sinh Company) in Phu Tan Industrial Park, Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong Province, continued to stop working because the company had not paid their salaries.

According to records, on Monday morning, hundreds of workers came to the company but did not go to work in the factory. Workers gathered in front of the office area to demand that the company pay their salaries early. Some other workers stood outside the factory and many others did not go to the company.

The workers said that this time they will stop working until the company pays their salaries. Because now, they have run out of money to spend and are no longer healthy enough to continue working. This is the third day of the second work stoppage since the end of July 2024.

The workers expressed their frustration and disappointment to the company's management. Sadness and anxiety were evident on the faces of the workers far from home.

According to the workers, some are owed 3 months, some are owed 4 months of salary. This repeated situation has disrupted the workers' lives and caused many difficulties. Workers are worried because at the beginning of next month, many expenses must be paid. These include basic living expenses such as: paying rent, paying for children's school fees, buying rice and food to stay in Binh Duong.

On the side of the authorities, from early morning on September 30, the functional forces of Thu Dau Mot city were present at the company to ensure security and order.

The Binh Duong Provincial Federation of Labor has also sent staff to monitor and advise on protecting the rights of workers. At the same time, it has coordinated with agencies to handle the case.

Previously, at the end of July 2024, workers stopped working because the company owed them 4 consecutive months of wages. After that, the company paid 2 months and still owed 2 months. The company announced that it would pay the outstanding month's wages by September 27, but the money was still not transferred by the due date. Therefore, the workers continued to stop working, demanding that the company pay the outstanding months' wages and September's wages.

The Board of Directors of Hoang Sinh Company gave the reason that the payment from orders was slower than expected; the loan application for investment was in the finalization stage so it had not been disbursed yet.

It is known that at the end of July 2024, this company had about 1,000 employees. After that, many people quit their jobs, but until now have not received their social insurance books.
