35 years ago, on December 17, 1989, the Vietnam-Czech Republic Friendship Labor Cultural Palace - a beautiful flower of the solidarity and friendship between the Vietnam Trade Union and the Central Trade Unions of Czechoslovakia was inaugurated and put into operation. It can be said that this was the first cultural project of the city with a large and beautiful scale, the most modern equipment at that time for workers, civil servants, and working people of the Port City.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Huong - Director of the Viet Tiep Friendship Labor Cultural Palace said: Over the past 35 years, the Viet Tiep Palace has built an effective organizational model; served well the political tasks of the city and the trade union organization; organized cultural and sports activities, and hobby clubs to attract a large number of people to participate in activities, entertainment, and contribute to taking care of the health and cultural and spiritual life of workers, civil servants, and laborers. In addition to the purpose of attracting a large number of club members, the Cultural Palace also focuses on discovering, training, and nurturing core members to participate in high-level competitions and festivals and has trained dozens of national level I coaches, athletes, referees, and masters, winning many medals at the international, national, and city levels.
The number of awards and medals achieved by members of the Viet Tiep Labor Culture Palace over the past 35 years includes nearly 40 international medals, more than 500 national awards and more than 600 city-level medals.
Guiding grassroots movements and serving workers in industrial parks in the city is also one of the important tasks of the Cultural Palace. In addition to regularly sending professional staff and collaborators to the grassroots to guide and organize activities, the Cultural Palace also organizes and designs game shows and competitions to industrial parks with many rich, creative and attractive forms of propaganda, contributing to improving the spiritual life of workers working here.
The Palace has become a trusted place to organize activities serving the political tasks of the city and the Trade Union organization on the occasion of celebrating major holidays and important historical events. The number of international, national and city conferences, seminars, exhibitions and fairs taking place at the Cultural Palace is increasing, with the spirit of professional service, enthusiasm and thoughtfulness of the staff.
With its achievements over the years, the Cultural Palace has been awarded the Third Class Labor Medal, Second Class Labor Medal, Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister, Certificate of Merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and many other noble awards by the State.
On this occasion, the Hai Phong City Labor Federation presented a banner to the Vietnam-Czech Republic Friendship Labor Palace. Two groups and three individuals received certificates of merit from the Hai Phong City Labor Federation. The Vietnam-Czech Republic Friendship Labor Cultural Palace also presented certificates of merit to 15 outstanding groups and eight individuals with outstanding achievements in the movements.
