The project to build the Kien An District Martyrs Memorial on Thien Van Mountain was approved by the Kien An District People's Committee in Decision No. 1079/QD-UBND dated July 5, 2023. The total investment capital of the project is nearly 30 billion VND from socialized sources (mobilized in cash is 25,088,000,000 VND and some artifacts such as stone steles, incense burners, altar tables, cement...).
The project is implemented on an area of 0.53 hectares with main items including: a 13.93m high flagpole, with a lotus symbol engraved with the words “The Fatherland pays tribute”. Two steles engraved with the names of heroic martyrs, along with many auxiliary items such as internal roads, retaining walls, flower gardens, trees, and water supply and drainage systems.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the District People's Council Pham Van Khanh emphasized: The project is not only a symbol of gratitude but also a common pride of the Party Committee, government and people of Kien An district. The project has the meaning of gratitude and contributes to reducing traffic congestion at Kien An 5-way intersection, improving urban aesthetics and creating an architectural highlight for the area.
To promote the effectiveness of the project, the Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the District People's Council requested the People's Committee of Kien An District to direct specialized agencies to complete the handover procedures, organize the management, maintenance and repair of the project according to regulations. At the same time, promote propaganda and education on revolutionary traditions for the younger generation, so that the Kien An martyrs' memorial on Thien Van Mountain becomes a meaningful destination, a place to foster patriotism and national pride.
