Coordination from grasping to solving problems
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh - Vice Chairwoman of Da Nang City Labor Federation, the work of caring for workers is related to many fields, so no organization can take on everything.
There needs to be a substantive coordination mechanism between the Fatherland Front, Trade Unions, government and businesses, in which each party promotes its right role but together aims for a common goal.

In which, the Front gathers and connects socio-political organizations, residential communities and resources to support workers. Trade unions directly grasp thoughts, represent dialogue, negotiation, legal advice, supervise policies and protect union members' rights.
The government implements policies, ensures social security and inspects the compliance with labor laws. Businesses directly create jobs and income, so they must fully implement regulations on salaries, welfare, labor safety, maintain dialogue and create conditions for Trade Unions to operate.
Coordination must go from grasping to solving problems, not stopping at conferences or signing programs. When the parties listen together and clearly define responsibilities and rights of workers, it will be better ensured" - Ms. Anh emphasized.
In fact, during Workers' Month 2026, nearly 400 officials, union members and workers participated in dialogues with city leaders, the National Assembly Delegation, the Front, departments, agencies, and trade unions. Here, 24 opinions and recommendations on employment, income, housing, meals, loans, digital transformation... were directly raised.
From the proposal of the City Labor Federation, the Da Nang City Party Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 1731-CV/TU on strengthening leadership and direction of Trade Union activities in communes and wards.
The City Labor Federation is promoting the signing of regulations on coordination with the City People's Committee for the period 2026-2030; has signed regulations with the City Youth Union and the City Women's Union to implement activities for young workers and female laborers. Trade unions in many communes and wards are also proposing appropriate coordination mechanisms for the area.
From care to companionship
According to Ms. Phan Thi Ngoc Anh, in the past, we often perceived workers as vulnerable groups, needing to be focused on care and mainly cared for in food, clothing, and material life.

However, as society increasingly develops, that view has become outdated. No matter what environment, workers are an extremely important subject, the core is to create opportunities and environments for them to develop.
First of all, workers must have jobs, stable incomes, participate in various types of insurance, ensure labor safety and protection when their rights are violated. When basic needs are met, they will have conditions to participate in social activities.
It is necessary to shift from "caring for workers" to "accompanying workers". Trade unions not only visit and give gifts but also support union members to access laws, loans, vocational training, improve skills, participate in dialogue and protect their rights.
That role of subject has been shown through community activities such as blood donation, environmental protection, building Great Solidarity houses, supporting people in difficult circumstances, and cultural and sports activities.
In the first 6 months of 2026, Da Nang union members and workers donated 1,218 units of blood; this is clear evidence that when gathered, workers are not only beneficiaries of policies but also subjects creating positive social values.
In particular, only launched from the beginning of March 2026, to date, from the contributions of workers, 10 Great Solidarity houses have been completed in Phuoc Tra commune, worth 1.25 billion VND.
This proves that Trade Union members and workers are not outside of social activities, or rather, they are very positive factors, making great contributions together with the people to create good things in society" - Ms. Anh said.
