Dak Lak strives for 70% of workers to improve their skills

From December 21 to 22, the Dak Lak Provincial Trade Union solemnly held the 1st Congress, term 2025-2030.

In the period of 2023-2025, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor has issued many plans, guiding and directing trade unions at all levels to synchronously and effectively implement activities to care for union members and workers.

The focus is on Tet Sum vay, Trade Union Tet Market, Workers' Month, Trade Union Shelters; visiting and supporting union members in difficult circumstances, those who have had work accidents, or those with serious illnesses. During Tet alone, trade unions at all levels have spent over 75 billion VND to take care of workers in difficult circumstances.

For the 2025-2030 term, with the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", the Provincial Trade Union strives to have at least 70% of workers in enterprises participate in studying to improve their qualifications, professional skills, information technology, digital technology; from 85% or more of enterprises and units with trade unions sign collective labor agreements.

By the end of the term, the whole province strives to have 70,000 union members; at least 1,000 initiatives of union members and workers are applied to production, business and work activities.

Speaking at the congress, Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - suggested that in the coming time, Dak Lak provincial trade unions at all levels continue to be steadfast in the viewpoint of taking workers as the center, both as a goal and a driving force for all activities. All policies and plans need to come from the practical needs and legitimate aspirations of union members and workers.

According to Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan, the provincial trade union needs to do a better job of taking care of the material and spiritual lives of workers; ensuring that each trade union program and activity brings specific and practical benefits.

The Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor also emphasized the need to continue to reorganize and perfect the apparatus, strongly innovating the content and methods of operation. In particular, accelerating digital transformation of trade union organizations and activities, considering this a breakthrough priority in the new term.

The Congress announced the decision of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to appoint the Dak Lak Provincial Trade Union Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 27 members (at the congress, 20 members were appointed, 7 members were short-lived); Mr. Le Van Thanh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee - was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor for the 2025-2030 term.
