On December 21, the Dak Lak Provincial Trade Union solemnly held the 1st Congress, term 2025-2030 (pre-appointment session). The congress took place on December 21 and 22.
Mr. Le Van Thanh - Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial Federation of Labor - said that the Congress is an important political activity of union members, workers and trade union organizations in the province.
The Congress took place in the context that union members and workers nationwide are striving to compete in labor, determined to successfully implement the goals of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW dated June 12, 2021 of the Politburo.

With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", the congress is tasked with evaluating the results of implementing the Resolution of the Provincial Trade Union Congress for the period 2023-2025; determining the direction, goals and tasks of activities in the 2025-2030 term.
At the same time, review the leadership and direction of the Provincial Federation of Labor Executive Committee and concretize the Party's guidelines and resolutions, the State's laws and policies in the Resolution of the Provincial Trade Union Congress.
According to the political report presented at the congress, after implementing the policy of reorganizing the apparatus, ending the activities of district-level trade unions and trade unions in administrative agencies, the whole province currently has about 85,000 workers. Of which, there are 60,446 union members.

In the period of 2023-2025, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor issued many plans, guidelines, and directions for trade unions at all levels to synchronously and effectively implement activities to care for union members and workers.
The focus is on Tet Sum vay, Trade Union Tet Market, Workers' Month, Trade Union Shelters; visiting and supporting union members in difficult circumstances, those who have had work accidents, or those with serious illnesses. During Tet alone, trade unions at all levels have spent over 75 billion VND to take care of workers in difficult circumstances.
The program "Improving the welfare of union members" was effectively implemented through the signing of 26 programs and cooperation agreements to provide essential goods and services with incentives from 5% to 20%.
Thereby, nearly 27,000 union members and workers have benefited, with a total welfare value of over 3.9 billion VND. The grassroots trade unions also coordinated with employers to ensure shift meals for employees; there were 232 negotiation agreements on shift meals, with a level of 18,000 to 25,000 VND/meal.

The "Union Shelter" housing program continues to be implemented synchronously and effectively. As a result, trade unions at all levels have mobilized more than VND 15.95 billion, supporting the construction and repair of 330 houses for union members in difficult circumstances.
The activity of borrowing capital from the National Employment Fund with a total amount of over 2.7 billion VND has supported 84 union members and workers to borrow capital. In addition, the "Mutual Support Union" Fund has helped thousands of union members and workers borrow capital to overcome difficulties and develop their family economy.
The work of developing union members and establishing grassroots unions has been focused on and achieved many positive results. During the term, the whole province admitted 23,851 new union members and established 107 grassroots unions, exceeding the target set by the Provincial Trade Union Congress Resolution.
To date, the whole province has established 7/11 commune and ward unions according to the plan; there are 656 grassroots unions with 60,446 union members. Every year, 100% of trade unions at the grassroots level and over 85% of grassroots trade unions are classified as having completed their tasks well, exceeding the targets set by the Resolution.
