Speaking at the 1st Bac Ninh Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030, on behalf of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - praised and acknowledged the results that the Bac Ninh Provincial Trade Unions at all levels have achieved in the recent period, contributing dangately to the overall results of the province and the Vietnam Trade Union organization.
According to Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang, in recent times, many operating models have been implemented by the Bac Ninh Provincial Trade Union with creative and innovative approaches, creating a strong spread, recognized and highly appreciated by union members and workers such as: "Workers' Month", "Tet Sum Vay", "Union Member Welfare", "playground after 8am", Union Meal...
In the work of developing union members and establishing grassroots unions, Bac Ninh is one of the outstanding bright spots, having been continuously in the top of the leading localities in the country for many years, especially Bac Ninh is also a pioneer province in piloting the organization of admitting foreign union members to the Trade Union organization.
According to Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang, in the coming time, the Bac Ninh Trade Union needs to focus on improving the quality of representation, protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers and laborers; proactively participating in resolving pressing issues such as employment, wages, social insurance, housing, cultural institutions, etc.; effectively coordinating in promoting solutions to build social housing for workers to rent, buy and lease.
Along with that, promote collective bargaining, sign labor agreements with more favorable terms than legal regulations; strengthen supervision, criticism, and recommendations to protect workers according to legal regulations; focus on caring for union members and workers, encouraging, sharing and supporting union members and workers in a timely manner with the motto "wherever workers are in difficulty, there is a trade union", paying attention to union members who are female workers, disadvantaged workers, ethnic workers, to ensure that no one is left behind.
The Bac Ninh Provincial Trade Union also needs to strongly innovate the content and forms of propaganda and political and ideological education; build a team of Bac Ninh workers with strong political will, industrial style, labor discipline, and high skills. Link traditional education with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style; pay attention to building cultural institutions, improving the spiritual life of workers; actively and proactively participate in Party building, building a clean and strong government.
In addition, it is necessary to better coordinate with socio-political organizations, authorities at all levels and employers; proactively participate in ensuring worker security, maintaining social order and safety in industrial parks and industrial clusters.
Taking the legitimate needs of union members and workers as a basis
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang emphasized that the Provincial Trade Union needs to improve the effectiveness of patriotic emulation movements; discover, nurture, and replicate good models and good initiatives; focus on key movements launched by the General Confederation and the province. Emulation must truly go into depth, creating a widespread influence among workers in all sectors and localities. Build emulation models associated with digital transformation and green transformation; encourage and promote innovation and creativity among workers, propose initiatives and technical improvements, contribute to building and strongly spreading the image of workers in the new era according to the development orientation of the province, implement Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo on the development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation.
The provincial trade union needs to pay attention to developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions, especially in private enterprises and workers in the informal sector, identifying this as a regular and important task; enhancing training and fostering union cadres with courage, responsibility, intelligence, skills, closeness to the grassroots, and closeness to union members; focusing on women's work; taking care of children of workers; building a prosperous - progressive - happy worker family. Strengthen management, inspection and supervision of trade union financial work, effectively implement financial disclosure, ensure transparency and efficiency.
Trade unions at all levels must thoroughly grasp the requirements for innovation of organization and leadership and direction methods in the context of streamlining the organizational apparatus. When there are no more district-level trade unions and local industry trade unions, the Provincial Federation of Labor is responsible for directly leading and directing a large number of grassroots trade unions in a large area, therefore, it is necessary to urgently build and operate a scientific, strict and flexible management and operation mechanism; promote digital transformation; prioritize the construction of digital trade unions, digitization of union member data and trade union finance, increase the application of information technology in directing and organizing activities, ensuring unity, smoothness and efficiency.
To put the Resolution of the Bac Ninh Provincial Trade Union Congress into practice, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang suggested that trade unions at all levels continue to innovate leadership and direction methods; take union members and workers as the center; take the legitimate needs of union members and workers as the basis; take grassroots trade unions as the foundation; strengthen discipline, order, and set an example for trade union officials; build a strong trade union organization worthy of the trust of the Party Committee, government and people of Bac Ninh province.
Promoting the revolutionary tradition and culture of Kinh Bac land, with the spirit of "Solidarity - democracy - discipline - innovation - development", Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang believes that the Executive Committee of the Bac Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor in the new term will lead the workers' movement and trade union activities of the province to develop strongly, together with the working class and the Vietnam Trade Union organization to successfully implement the set goals and tasks, contributing to making Bac Ninh a centrally-run city before 2030, a green, civilized city, imbued with the cultural identity of Kinh Bac province by 2045 as set out in the Resolution of the First Provincial Party Congress.
