During the period when Kien Hung ward officially implemented the urban government model, switching to a two-level government, the administrative apparatus was streamlined, requiring coordination between organizations in the changing political system, posing many new requirements for the activities of the Trade Union organization.
To meet the new requirements, the Kien Hung Ward Labor Union proactively follows the leadership of the Ward Party Committee, the Ha Dong District Labor Federation (old), and the Hanoi City Labor Federation, while closely coordinating with the People's Committee, the Fatherland Front Committee and the ward's socio-political organizations to effectively implement emulation movements and activities to care for union members and workers.
When implementing the 2-level government model, local trade unions are arranged to improve and change the operating model to adapt and suit the new context. The ward union was previously under the Ha Dong District Labor Federation (old), now there is no longer a grassroots union as before, so the requirement of autonomy, creativity, and proactiveness in organizing activities is given top priority.
An experience learned is to put the interests and needs of union members and workers at the center. All activities of the Ward Trade Union are aimed at the goal of "authentic, effective, close to the people, for workers". Propaganda and mobilization work has been innovated in a flexible manner, taking advantage of social networks and internal Zalo groups to update information and quickly disseminate policies. These experiences will be fully utilized in the first term, 2025 - 2030 of the Ward Trade Union. In particular, to effectively utilize the applications of science, technology and engineering, the Kien Hung Ward Trade Union will promote digital transformation in union member management; strengthen internal communication work.
In addition, focus on expanding dialogue and listening to workers; promoting the role of representation in supervising policy implementation, ensuring that union members' voices are listened to and respected.
This is also clearly demonstrated in the general goal of the Kien Hung Ward Trade Union in the coming term, which is to innovate and improve the effectiveness of gathering and mobilizing union members and workers to join the Trade Union organization. Building a team of professional Trade Union cadres with sufficient qualities, capacity and digital transformation applications to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation contributes to building a strong Party, government and Trade Union organization, a reliable support for workers.
