President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang said that in response to the emulation movement "Promoting the development of synchronous and modern infrastructure, practicing thrift, and combating waste" and the Prime Minister's conclusion on solutions to accelerate the completion of key works and projects... on February 27, 2024, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in coordination with the Vietnam Electricity Group launched an emulation movement at the construction site of the 500kV line 3 project.
At the launching ceremony, union members, workers and representatives of the electricity industry and contractors signed a competition agreement with the five most competitive goals: "Fastest progress; Best quality; Safest - most economical; Most creative; Best care for life" in line with the Prime Minister's drastic guidelines.
According to the President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the emulation movement has inspired and created an enthusiastic working atmosphere, spirit and positive working motivation at construction sites, contributing to achieving the goal of "Fastest progress; Best quality".
The Prime Minister's directions and instructions of "only discuss work, no backtracking", "through holidays, Tet, and days off", "3 shifts, 4 shifts", "eat and sleep quickly"... have been regularly and continuously communicated to union members and workers by the media and union officials at all levels, creating a spreading effect, creating a spirit and working atmosphere of urgency and positivity in all positions at the construction site.
The spirit of solidarity, unity, and determination to complete the Project at the construction site has spread strongly among workers, civil servants, and laborers in the electricity industry.
When it was necessary to increase the force for the final competition, thousands of union members and workers wrote a volunteer application to "support" the Circuit 3 construction site. Being able to participate and contribute to the 500kV Circuit 3 became the pride of every worker.
According to the recognition of trade unions at all levels, the enthusiastic competitive atmosphere at the construction site not only spreads widely among the workers, but also to the entire social community, armed forces, youth union members and people in the localities where the project passes through.
President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang said that the emulation movement has created a spirit of overcoming difficulties and challenges, many initiatives and new ways of doing things for the project to ensure "Fastest progress", "Safest - Most economical" and "Most creative".
The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has promptly recognized and rewarded excellent initiatives that have been effectively applied at the construction site. A typical example is the initiative of "manufacturing a working stand for the installation of pipe columns" proposed by workers of Song Da Construction and Service Joint Stock Company, which has contributed to speeding up the column erection progress from 50-55 days to 40-45 days, in addition to saving construction costs, if calculated for the entire route, up to tens of billions of VND.
Workers are happy to contribute to construction sites.
According to the leader of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the emulation movement has recorded unforgettable impressions of solidarity and high determination in the hearts of all cadres, union members, and workers who have participated in the construction of the Project during the past time.
Attending the inauguration ceremony at the Nam Dan district bridge (Nghe An province), Mr. Vo Thanh Chung - Vinh Power Transmission Team - said that participating in the installation of the pole at position 343, his job was to pull the anchor wire from 357 to 360; participating in the construction project for more than 3 months.
Mr. Chung shared: “The work at the project site is extremely hard and arduous; the weather is extremely hot and the terrain is complex. However, myself and my fellow engineers and workers all share the same will and determination to overcome difficulties and contribute to completing the project on schedule.”
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Viet - Power Transmission Company 1, National Power Transmission Corporation - said that participating in the construction of the 500kV line circuit 3 is a great honor after more than 18 years working in the electricity industry. 105 days at the 500kV line construction site is also an unforgettable memory for him, helping him gain more knowledge and experience for his future work.
Mr. Viet shared: “The biggest difficulty for our brothers at the construction site is the harsh hot weather. However, with the timely encouragement of all levels and sectors, and the support of organizations and unions, our cadres and workers have been given more strength to work enthusiastically. Today, the 500kV line 3 has been inaugurated, we feel happy and proud to have contributed to the success of the project.”
