The "Month of listening to union members and workers speak" implemented in July is one of the activities in this direction, with a focus on listening, grasping and solving problems arising from the grassroots level.
In the Mai Son area, the forum organized by the Son La Provincial Labor Federation had the participation of 57 union members, workers and representatives of businesses and grassroots trade unions. Nearly 20 questions and recommendations were directly raised, mainly related to salaries, bonuses, social insurance, and regimes for workers working in special environments... Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong, a worker at Mai Son Cement Joint Stock Company, reflected that production characteristics cause workers to regularly work in environments with dust, smoke and noise. According to her, the identification and application of regimes for workers working in hazardous environments still have issues that need to be specifically guided. "I hope that functional agencies will have clearer guidance and study appropriate mechanisms to ensure the legitimate rights of workers" - Ms. Phuong said.
At Thuan Chau Regional General Hospital, 5 opinions focused on regimes, policies, training, professional development and special allowances according to Decree No. 192/2026/ND-CP. According to Ms. Luong Thi Tiem, Deputy Director, Chairwoman of the grassroots Trade Union, the opinions helped the unit promptly review and remove obstacles in the policy implementation process. The results of the whole province show that the scale of activities does not only stop at a few forums. 139/192 grassroots trade unions organized dialogues, attracting 7,460 union members and workers to participate. As a result, 610 opinions were received. To date, 550 opinions have been resolved, 60 opinions are being coordinated for handling; there are no recommendations to be transferred to competent authorities due to exceeding authority. According to Ms. Thai Thi Mai, Vice Chairwoman of Son La Provincial Labor Federation, activities to help workers directly raise obstacles and recommendations and be answered and handled specifically.
