Organize dialogue, build harmonious labor relations

In Dong Phu ward, Dong Nai city, New Apparel Far Eastern Vietnam Co., Ltd. is one of the enterprises with a large number of workers. In recent years, grassroots trade unions (CĐCS) have always excellently fulfilled the function of representing, caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers. The unit has negotiated, signed and supervised the implementation of the Collective Labor Agreement, and maintained quarterly periodic dialogues.

In addition, the grassroots trade union has coordinated with the company to organize employee conferences in accordance with regulations. Thereby, promptly receiving and resolving recommendations related to salaries, benefits, meals, maternity benefits, working hours, shuttle buses and working conditions for employees.

Many issues of workers' petitions are always received and resolved satisfactorily by the company. Thanks to this, for 3 consecutive years from 2023 to now, the unit has not experienced illegal collective strikes or work stoppages; and no complicated labor disputes have arisen.

Dong Nai City Labor Federation assessed that in recent years, labor relations in enterprises have always been harmonious, stable and progressive, making an important contribution to the sustainable development of enterprises.

Raising piggy banks, taking care of union members

At the company, the work of caring for the material and spiritual life of over 3,400 union members is always focused on by the grassroots trade union. Every year, the grassroots trade union regularly implements activities to give gifts on Tet, Workers' Month, International Children's Day, Mid-Autumn Festival, National Day, and New Year's Day.

In addition, the grassroots trade union regularly grasps the lives of workers. Thanks to this, it promptly supports difficult cases. In March 2026, the unit supported 80 union members facing difficulties, each person 1 million VND. Recently, the grassroots trade union continued to support 30 union members, each person 500,000 VND and a box of noodles. Thereby, adding motivation to help workers feel secure in their work.

Notably, the grassroots trade union is also proactive and flexible in supporting union members who unfortunately have accidents or serious illnesses. The grassroots trade union has implemented the model "Raising piggy banks - sending love". The collected money will be put into the "Connecting Love" fund to support union members in difficult circumstances.

Ms. Truong Thi Ngoc Yen is one of the union members who has encountered difficulties and has been supported recently. Ms. Yen's family does not have a stable house, raising 3 young children who are often sick.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Chi - Chairwoman of the grassroots trade union said that the grassroots trade union regularly cares for and encourages Ms. Yen. Most recently, the grassroots trade union has deducted 5 million VND from the "Connecting Love" fund to support Ms. Yen's family. For more difficult cases, the grassroots trade union will call for donations to directly support.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Chi, the "Connecting Love" fund has been operating since 2018, and so far has mobilized support for 28 union members in difficult circumstances with a total amount of 1.4 billion VND. Thanks to good practices, grassroots trade unions have become a solid support for union members.
