On March 7, the high-ranking delegation of the Cuban Workers' Center (CTC) including: Ms. Isdalis Rodriguez Rodriguez - Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Deputy General Secretary of the CTC, National Assembly delegate, Cuban People's government as head of the delegation; Mr. Rogelio Polanco Fuentes - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Vietnam and a number of members visited and worked at the Hue City Labor Federation. Also attending was Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

At the meeting, Ms. Tran Thi Minh Nguyet - Permanent Vice President of the Hue City Labor Federation - outlined the geographical location, operational situation and some experiences in the activities of the Hue City Labor Union.
Accordingly, as of February 28, 2025, Hue City manages 88,443 workers, including 85,230 union members, accounting for a high proportion. Trade unions at all levels have innovated their methods of operation, closely following reality, and selecting key tasks suitable for workers. The union proactively grasps the situation, promptly makes recommendations and proposals to resolve the regime and policies for union members. The application of information technology helps improve the effectiveness of direction and operation. Thanks to that, trade unions at all levels have flexibly and responsibly implemented, closely coordinated with the government, contributing to protecting workers' rights and promoting local socio-economic development.

Representing the high-level delegation of the Cuban Workers' Center, Ms. Isdalis Rodriguez Rodriguez presented an overview of the organization and activities of Cuba's Trade Unions, emphasizing the important role of this organization in protecting workers' rights and promoting socio-economic development.
Ms. Rodriguez Rodriguez expressed her desire to strengthen cooperation and experience exchange with the Hue City Labor Federation in particular and the Vietnam General Trade Union in particular, especially in the fields of training union officials, improving welfare for workers and promoting friendly exchange activities.
The representative of the Cuban working delegation also affirmed that the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Cuba is an important foundation for the two trade union organizations to continue to connect and cooperate more closely in the coming time.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Huynh Thanh Xuan expressed his joy and deep gratitude for the valuable sharing of the representatives of the high-level delegation of the Cuban Workers' Center on their experience in Trade Union activities, thereby helping the Vietnam Trade Union organization have more practical lessons to improve the effectiveness of caring for and protecting workers' rights.
The Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor affirmed that the close relationship between the two trade union organizations is a testament to the strong friendship between the two Parties and the two States of Vietnam and Cuba. At the same time, they hope to continue to strengthen cooperation and experience exchange, contributing to strengthening solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
