On May 10, Tuy Hoa Ward Trade Union (Dak Lak province) informed that the unit had just coordinated with the Provincial Red Cross Society and Phu Yen General Hospital to organize the program "Humanitarian Blood Donation in Workers".
The program attracted nearly 100 volunteers who are officials, union members, and workers in the area to participate in blood donation. To ensure safety for the activity, the Organizing Committee has developed a specific plan, promoted propaganda and mobilized volunteers to participate in blood donation. At the same time, fully implement safe blood donation procedures before, during and after blood donation.
In addition, volunteers are also screened, blood tested, blood pressure measured and health checked before participating in blood donation.
All blood received from the program will be transferred to Phu Yen General Hospital to serve emergency care and treatment for patients.
As a result, the program received 74 units of blood, reaching 148% of the assigned target.
This is also an opportunity for the Tuy Hoa Ward Trade Union to propagate to union members and workers about the tradition of solidarity, the spirit of "mutual affection" and responsibility for the community of the Vietnamese working class.
The Ward Trade Union expects that union members and workers will continue to actively respond to the voluntary blood donation movement, contributing to creating abundant blood reserves to help patients, in line with the message "One drop of blood given, one life left behind".
