On the last day of the year, the small road leading to hamlet 5 Nhut Chanh (Binh Duc commune, Tay Ninh province) is busier than usual. In a newly completed level-four house, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Chi - a member of the grassroots Trade Union of Ching Luh Vietnam Footwear Co., Ltd. is busy cleaning, hanging a new calendar, arranging a tray of offerings for grandparents. This is the first Tet that her family has celebrated Spring in a solid, spacious house, built from the "Trade Union Home" program.
The house is about 100 m2 wide, with a corrugated iron roof, brick walls, and flat cement floor. For many people, it may just be a simple house, but for Ms. Chi, this is the result of a long journey full of worries. Previously, her family lived in a cramped, dilapidated old house, every rainy season worried about water leaks and furniture damage. Repairing or rebuilding is something she never dared to think of, because the income of workers is only enough to cover daily living expenses.
At the end of 2025, when the Trade Union informed her that her family was eligible for support to build a "Trade Union Shelter", Ms. Chi was still surprised. From the support of 50 million VND of Vietnam Industrial Zone Company through the Golden Heart Charity Fund, along with the contributions of the grassroots Trade Union and relatives, the new house gradually took shape. After more than a month of construction, the house was completed right before the New Year.

This Tet is completely different from every year. No longer worrying about rain and wind, no longer the scene of patching the roof or placing basins to collect water. Having a new house, the spirit is much more comfortable," Ms. Chi shared when she just finished wiping the set of tables and chairs placed in the middle of the living room.
The change is not only reflected in living conditions but also in the psychology of workers. For Ms. Chi, the new house is a fulcrum to feel secure in working and long-term attachment to the business. "I see the real concern of the Trade Union organization and the business. With faith, I try even harder to work better," Ms. Chi said.
In that warm Tet atmosphere, "Trade Union Home" is not just a house, but also the sharing and companionship of the Trade Union organization with union members and workers in difficult circumstances. From a solid roof, faith in life, in the Trade Union organization is also nurtured, so that every spring, workers are more steadfastly looking forward.
