Over the past time, the implementation of new regulations on union member development and establishment of grassroots trade unions has helped the organizational development work in Hoa Khanh ward, Da Nang city achieve many positive results. However, this also puts great pressure on the team of full-time officials in the locality.
Mr. Tra Thanh Quang - Chairman of Hoa Khanh Ward Trade Union (Da Nang City) shared: "There are periods when the Ward Trade Union almost has to answer no less than 10 phone calls a day with repeated questions such as: Where to pay trade union fees? What are the procedures for establishing grassroots trade unions?... This takes a lot of time and affects the handling of other important tasks.
In addition, providing sample documents or operating data to newly established units manually by sending links also creates many inconveniences. Therefore, Hoa Khanh Ward Trade Union has struggled to find solutions to apply technology to machinery to handle daily tasks, thereby helping officials spend all their time directly meeting, caring for and listening to union members.
The application is built entirely from socialized capital worth 290 million VND and integrated directly on the Zalo platform, helping users use it smoothly without wasting space. Through the software, union members can easily register to join, update news, interact 24/7 with digital assistants and participate in entertainment e-games. Meanwhile, grassroots officials can quickly look up sample documents, track reward data, manage event attendance by QR combined with positioning, along with AI tools to support self-generating infographics or video editing.
In addition to digitizing the working process in cyberspace, Hoa Khanh Ward Trade Union still maintains a parallel form of direct and close connection through the "Trade Union Coffee" model. This is an open space for ward trade union officials, representatives of grassroots units, and workers to sit around a cup of coffee, directly listen to and remove obstacles arising from production reality. The harmonious combination of the "Digital Trade Union" application and the "Trade Union Coffee" model has eliminated the rigid administrative gap, creating a modern, flexible, responsive and truly accompanying trade union model at the grassroots level.
