On the afternoon of April 9, the Professional Medical Department - Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health said that in 2 days, September 8-9, 4, recorded quick reports from Binh Quoi Ward Health Station and some hospitals, there were 53 cases of students from Binh Quoi Tay Primary School (Binh Quoi Ward) coming for examination due to common symptoms of digestive disorders.
Binh Quoi Ward Health Station received 2 cases, their health was stable, so they were issued prescriptions and instructed to continue monitoring at home.
Children's Hospital 2 received 4 cases, of which 3 cases with stable health were prescribed outpatient medication and instructed to continue monitoring at home; 1 case was indicated for hospitalization for inpatient treatment. The hospital has taken samples for testing to verify the cause.
Binh Thanh General Hospital received 20 cases, of which 19 stable cases were given prescriptions; 1 case was monitored in the emergency room, currently the health condition is stable and continues to be monitored in the emergency room.

Gia Dinh People's Hospital received 27 cases for examination with symptoms of abdominal pain, vomiting and fever. Among them, 5 stable cases were given prescriptions for outpatient treatment; 22 cases were admitted to the Department of Pediatrics, with no serious cases.
The hospitalized cases are treated with fever reduction, fluid and electrolyte compensation. Most cases are in a stable stage; only 3 cases still have fever, the hospital has performed blood transfusion tests.
Immediately after receiving reports from the units, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health directed hospitals to closely monitor the situation and comply with treatment instructions; take samples for testing to find agents to serve treatment work. At the same time, quickly inform the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety to have timely solutions.
In addition, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health has directed the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Disease Control to coordinate with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety and Binh Quoi Tay Primary School to continue conducting epidemiological investigations and toxicology tests to find the cause.
Previously, on April 8, at Binh Quoi Tay Primary School, 41 students were recorded with signs of digestive disorders with main symptoms being abdominal pain, vomiting, fever, and headache.
Among them, 2 students with high fever, abdominal pain and severe vomiting were transferred to Binh Thanh General Hospital for monitoring and treatment, the remaining cases were in the school's medical room and were treated with fever reduction, water replenishment by mouth, and reduced abdominal cramps and pain.
After receiving the information, Binh Quoi Health Station urgently coordinated with the school health department to conduct screening, epidemiological investigation, risk assessment and intervention according to the process of handling food poisoning cases.
As Lao Dong Newspaper reported, Ms. Diep Thi Ngoc Tien - Principal of Binh Quoi Tay Primary School, from today (April 9), the school will temporarily suspend semi-boarding meals to carry out cleaning and disinfecting the entire school grounds. The reorganization of semi-boarding will be implemented when there is an official conclusion from functional agencies. Binh Quoi Tay Primary School has more than 900 students, of which about 700 students registered for semi-boarding meals.
