Still unable to forget the feeling of celebrating Tet Sum vay for the first time with workers in Du Long Industrial Park (Thuan Bac District, Ninh Thuan Province), Ms. Pham Thi Kim Phuong - a worker at Hoang Thanh Do Luong Production and Investment Joint Stock Company excitedly shared on her personal Facebook page. Because this was also the first time she and many workers had the opportunity to celebrate Tet with Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh.
“My fellow workers and I also took the opportunity to take pictures with the Vice President of the National Assembly and the Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. We also received a Tet gift worth 1.3 million VND. We are even happier because the concern for the workers has been breathed new life into us,” Ms. Phuong happily said.
According to Mr. Tran Van Dong - Chairman of the Ninh Thuan Provincial Federation of Labor, up to now, the whole province has had more than 4,000 union members and workers in difficult circumstances who have been able to celebrate Tet Sum Vay organized by the union. And 4,000 Tet gifts have also been handed over to union members in difficult circumstances by the leaders of the Party, the State, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee and all levels of the union.
At the District, City, and Industry Labor Federations, the unions simultaneously organized the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng" with cultural and artistic activities, visiting and giving gifts to union members in difficult circumstances.
The provincial Industrial Parks Trade Union organized many exciting activities to create a joyful and exciting atmosphere among workers such as: Banh Chung wrapping contest and Tet fruit tray decoration, folk game "Piggy Bank Smashing"; Tet market booth for all union members and workers to participate in wholesale purchase; giving away more than 400 free gifts to workers, supporting train and bus tickets worth 500,000 VND/person for 5 workers far from home...
In the mountainous district of Khanh Vinh, Khanh Hoa province, for the first time, 100 workers received Tet gifts from Minister of Justice Nguyen Hai Ninh.
Ms. Le Thi Tu Trinh - Garbage sweeper of Nguyen Hung Company Limited said: "I am very happy, it has been 8 years since I received a Tet gift from the Minister, the gift of 1.3 million VND is equal to 30% of my salary. Thank you to the Trade Union and the Party and State leaders for caring about the workers."
With the characteristics of a mountainous district, the whole district has nearly 2,000 employees, this year the work of taking care of Tet for union members and employees continues to receive attention. Up to now, 100% of union members and employees in the district have been supported with Tet gifts from the Trade Union with a budget of more than 1 billion VND.
Mr. Phan Thanh Liem - Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation assessed: Up to this point, the activities to care for union members and workers during Tet in the whole province have been basically completed with nearly 10,000 union members in difficult circumstances, union members who have to work during Tet... receiving practical Tet gifts from the Union. The total budget to care for and support union members on this occasion is nearly 60 billion VND.
In particular, a series of programs to visit and give gifts to workers, trade union Tet markets, Tet Sum Vay... have spread to all union members and no union member in difficulty in the province has not received gifts and support from the union to celebrate Tet more fully. This has greatly impacted the spiritual and material life of union members and workers in the whole province to enter 2025 with the expectation of outstanding development.
