Ho Chi Minh City - On May 22, Tan Hung ward (Ho Chi Minh City) organized a conference to deploy the Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health and the Workers' Month 2026.

The conference was organized by the People's Committee in coordination with the Trade Union and Tan Hung Ward Police, which is of practical significance in continuing to raise awareness and responsibility of agencies, businesses and workers in complying with the law on occupational safety and health.

At the conference, Mr. Khuu Thien Thanh, Chairman of Tan Hung Ward Trade Union, said that on the occasion of Workers' Month 2026, Tan Hung Ward Trade Union officially launched a widespread political activity with the action spirit: "Each grassroots trade union - at least one practical action for workers".

Mr. Khuu Thien Thanh emphasized the importance of improving the quality of lunch meals, tightening labor safety and hygiene, and improving the working environment directly at workshops and offices. Ward Trade Union leaders affirmed that the effectiveness of Workers' Month is not measured by the number of slogans or organizational forms, but is measured by the joy, trust, and practical benefits that workers receive.

Ms. Chau Ngoc Hanh, Human Resources Director cum Vice Chairman of the Trade Union of Kido Group Joint Stock Company, shared that as a food enterprise, the unit applies strict standards to protect employees. All employees are equipped with full labor protection equipment periodically every six months.

After each shift, workers change clothes and the company will be responsible for washing and sterilizing on the spot so that workers do not need to take them home. In addition, every six months, the enterprise organizes general health check-ups for all 2,000 officials and employees.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen, Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Tan Phong Kindergarten, said that right from the beginning of the school year, the school has always proactively equipped all necessary protective equipment for departments, from specialized uniforms for kitchen staff to security equipment for security forces. The school also organizes a collective kitchen to provide nutritious lunches and arrange reasonable lunch breaks for teachers in accordance with professional regulations.

In particular, the diet and food sources for teachers and students are always strictly supervised by the Board of Directors and the semi-boarding department from the morning supply stage to the catering process, with clear personnel assignments to ensure absolute food safety and hygiene.

Within the framework of the conference, the Tan Hung Ward Trade Union also awarded decisions to establish new grassroots trade unions and develop union members, launched the Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space at enterprises, and deployed the Digital Transformation Club Team with clean data models, fast connection to support finding people and job seekers...
