On May 21, Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee announced that it had issued a vocational training plan associated with supplying and creating jobs for workers in the province in 2026.
The plan aims to improve the quality of human resources, reduce retraining costs for businesses; improve the efficiency of vocational training and labor supply, contribute to improving the labor training index in the provincial competitiveness index (PCI), reduce the unemployment rate and promote local socio-economic development.

The province aims to develop a modern, flexible and efficient labor market; promote labor migration from low-productivity sectors to higher sectors, from informal sectors to formal sectors.
In 2026, Gia Lai strives to provide vocational training, labor supply and job creation for about 30,000 workers. Of which, vocational training for 6,020 rural workers; supplying 21,890 workers to businesses and sending 2,000 workers to work abroad under contract.
The province sets a target to increase the rate of trained workers to over 67.6%; the general unemployment rate below 3% and the urban unemployment rate below 4%.
The Provincial People's Committee requests departments, branches, commune and ward People's Committees, vocational education institutions, the Provincial Employment Service Center and businesses to closely coordinate in consulting, enrollment, training and labor supply.
Vocational training must be linked to the actual needs of businesses, ensuring that graduates have jobs suitable for the profession they are trained in.
The province also directs units and localities to promote administrative procedure reform; improve the efficiency of using state capital associated with socio-economic development; train according to the recruitment needs of enterprises; strengthen the collection, analysis, and forecasting of labor market information and connect labor supply and demand.
Receive, update and synchronize employee data with national databases, specialized databases and related data systems to serve management, forecasting and job connection.
