On July 30, the Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor (GFF) announced that it had announced the decision to establish the Phu Cat Commune Trade Union and the Phu My Commune Trade Union, officially coming into operation from July 23.
According to the decision, Phu Cat Commune Trade Union manages 35 grassroots trade unions (CDCS) with 6,354 union members, belonging to Phu Cat, Hoa Hoi, De Gi, Xuan An and Cat Tien communes. In addition, Phu Cat Commune Trade Union will receive management of union members and grassroots unions in Hoi Son and Ngo May communes when these grassroots unions are established.

Phu My Commune Trade Union manages 43 grassroots unions with 2,773 union members in Phu My, An Luong, Binh Duong, Phu My Dong, Phu My Tay, Phu My Nam and Phu My Bac communes.
The Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor also announced the decision to appoint the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and Chairman of the Trade Union of Phu Cat and Phu My communes for the 2023-2028 term.

Accordingly, Ms. Ngo Thi Tuyet Suong - Party Committee member, Deputy Head of the Inspection Committee of the Phu Cat Commune Party Committee - was appointed to hold the position of Chairwoman of the Phu Cat Commune Trade Union; the Executive Committee consists of 9 people and the Standing Committee consists of 3 people.
At the Phu My Commune Trade Union, Ms. Ho Ngoc Bich - Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu My Commune - was appointed to hold the position of Chairwoman; the Executive Committee consists of 10 people and the Standing Committee consists of 2 people.

According to Mr. Ha Duy Trung - Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor has established 13 commune and ward unions in the old Binh Dinh province. Up to now, 2 commune trade unions and 1 ward trade union have been established (previously, the old Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor established 4 ward trade unions).
The establishment of commune and ward trade unions aims to strengthen the role of trade union organizations in representing and caring for the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers at the grassroots level.
