Inspecting compliance with labor laws
In the first days of June 2026, an inter-sectoral supervisory delegation including representatives of the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation, the Department of Home Affairs and the Nghe An Provincial Police organized supervision of the implementation of labor laws at a number of enterprises in the province.
This is a practical activity to inspect and evaluate the compliance with the Labor Code, the Law on Occupational Safety and Health, regimes and policies for employees and fire prevention and fighting in enterprises.

The working delegation was headed by Mr. Nguyen Chi Cong - Standing Vice Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation.
On June 12, the inter-sectoral supervisory delegation worked at Van Minh Garment Co., Ltd. and Tan Ky Tunnel Brick Factory under Tam Tai Construction and Transport Joint Stock Company, located in Tan Ky commune.
At the units, the delegation conducted inspections of the implementation of the provisions of the Labor Code, the Law on Occupational Safety and Health, regimes and policies related to workers; and at the same time inspected fire prevention and fighting, working conditions and safety measures in the production process.
Through supervision, the delegation acknowledged the results that businesses have achieved in implementing the provisions of labor law, paying attention to ensuring jobs, income, working conditions and policies for workers.
Along with recognizing the positive aspects, the working delegation also exchanged and guided on a number of contents that need to be further concerned and improved to improve the effectiveness of occupational safety and health, prevent risks of unsafety in production, contributing to ensuring the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers.
Enhancing the role of trade unions in protecting workers
Previously, on the afternoon of June 9, the inter-sectoral supervision team worked at Trong Phuc Garment Co., Ltd. to inspect the implementation of legal regulations on labor, safety, occupational hygiene and fire prevention and fighting in enterprises.

At the working session, businesses reported on the implementation of regimes and policies for employees; ensuring working conditions, safety in production and solutions to prevent fire and explosion risks, and labor accidents.
Trong Phuc Garment Co., Ltd. was the unit that experienced a factory fire in 2024. After the incident, the enterprise proactively overcame the consequences, gradually stabilized production, and strengthened conditions to ensure labor safety and fire prevention and fighting.
The supervisory delegation acknowledged the efforts of businesses in overcoming difficulties, maintaining production, and paying attention to building a safe working environment for workers. At the same time, the delegation requested businesses to continue to review and consolidate conditions on labor safety and hygiene, and fully implement legal regulations to minimize the risk of incidents during operation.
On the same morning, the inter-sectoral supervision delegation chaired by the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation also conducted supervision at Nhat Huy Stone Processing Joint Stock Company. Participating in the supervision session were representatives of Tan Chau Commune People's Committee and the Chairman of Dien Chau Commune Trade Union.
Here, the delegation focused on inspecting and evaluating the compliance with the provisions of the Labor Code, the Law on Occupational Safety and Health and regimes and policies related to workers. The delegation also grasped the difficulties and obstacles of businesses in the process of implementing legal regulations to promptly guide and propose appropriate solutions.
According to the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation, through supervision activities, the Trade Union organization has more basis to grasp the actual situation at enterprises, especially issues directly related to employment, income, working conditions, production safety and the rights of workers.
This activity also contributes to raising awareness and responsibility of employers in complying with labor laws, building harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations; and at the same time helping businesses develop sustainably on the basis of ensuring safety and rights for workers.
Mr. Nguyen Chi Cong - Standing Vice Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation said that strengthening the supervision of labor law implementation at enterprises is an important and regular task of the Trade Union organization.
Through supervision, we not only detect and propose to overcome limitations and inadequacies in the process of implementing policies and laws, but also accompany and guide businesses to better implement regulations related to employees. The highest goal is to protect the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and employees, while contributing to building a safe, stable, and sustainable working environment," Mr. Nguyen Chi Cong emphasized.
