Endless nights keeping the coastal city clean and green, welcoming a peaceful Tet
On the evening of February 16th (December 29th of the lunar calendar), leaders of Khanh Hoa province directly went to the central market areas in the North and South of the province to visit and encourage hundreds of environmental sanitation workers who are working through New Year's Eve.
At Xom Moi Market (Nha Trang ward), Mr. Tran Hoa Nam - Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee visited, wished Tet and gave lucky money to workers of Nha Trang Urban Environment Joint Stock Company who are urgently collecting garbage.

Because the market ended its operation for Tet holiday, the amount of garbage accumulated at Xom Moi Market increased 4-5 times higher than usual days. Dozens of workers and many specialized vehicles were mobilized to work continuously overnight to collect and transport garbage, returning a clean environment for people to enjoy Spring and celebrate Tet.
Ms. Tran Thi Kieu Giang - a garbage collector said: "Today, all brothers and sisters gathered at the market to clean up on New Year's Eve. The amount of garbage is more than usual, so the work is more strenuous.
For female workers like Ms. Giang, New Year's Eve is a very special emotion. After arranging family matters, she continues to go out on duty.

For many years, when I got home, it was just dawn, I was the first visitor to my own house. On the night of the 30th anniversary, provincial leaders came to give lucky money and encourage me, so my siblings were very excited," she shared.
According to a business representative, to ensure a green - clean - beautiful environment during the Binh Ngo Tet 2026, the unit has mobilized about 700 workers, 27 garbage compactors, 8 alley garbage collection trucks and 750 hand trucks; organizing continuous collection from early morning to late at night, not allowing garbage to accumulate.
At Tran Phu beach park, sanitation forces are arranged to sweep many times on the last day of the year. At the same time, they are ready to collect garbage immediately after events and fireworks on New Year's Eve.
Quiet New Year's Eve on the train station platform
While environmental workers are busy in the streets, many officials and employees of the railway industry are also quietly welcoming New Year's Eve on the station platform.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh - Head of Xuan Son Nam station (Dong Xuan commune, Dak Lak province) said that his unit is one of 6 units on duty on the night of the 30th. He shared that he has spent many years celebrating New Year's Eve at the station platform, with mixed feelings of "sadness and joy".
Sad because I can't reunite with my family in the moment of New Year's transition, but happy because I contribute to ensuring safe train trips to take people home for Tet," Mr. Thanh said.
In the days leading up to Tet, Xuan Son Nam station increases service by about 40 train trips/day. Especially on New Year's Eve, 4 officers and employees are on duty to operate trains and check two ends to ensure safety for the last train of the year.
Before the New Year, Mr. Thanh wishes the Vietnam Railways industry to continue to develop sustainably and modernly; and for his family, he only hopes to have a lot of health to successfully complete the assigned tasks.
