At 12:00 on February 16 (29th of Tet), after a long whistle, the Superdong Phu Quy II high-speed train departed from Phan Thiet to Phu Quy island.
According to Phan Thiet Transport Port, this is the last high-speed train of the year leaving the port, taking passengers and goods to Phu Quy Island.

About an hour before departure, goods were transported into the port for loading onto the ship. Many passengers arrived early, carrying luggage and Tet gifts, hoping to return home to reunite with their families soon.
Most of the passengers on the train were workers working far from home, returning to Phan Thiet in the morning and choosing the last train to be on time to return to the island to celebrate Tet.

Recorded at the port, many apricot trees hastily bought at noon were also transferred onto ships, bringing the spring atmosphere from the mainland to the island.
In addition to local people, many international tourists also take boats to the island to visit, bringing kite surfing equipment.

Phu Quy Special Zone is 56 nautical miles from the mainland. Currently, there are 5 speedboats operating on the Phan Thiet - Phu Quy route and vice versa, each sea trip is about 2 hours and 30 minutes.

According to the operating schedule of the shipping lines, on the 1st day of Tet (February 17), all high-speed trains will take Tet holiday, temporarily suspending passenger transport. From the 2nd day (February 18), most trains will resume operation to serve the spring travel needs of tourists.
In which, the Superdong high-speed train from the 2nd to the 4th day of Tet operates 2 trips to the island and 2 trips to the shore each day; by the 5th and 6th days, it increases to 3 trips in each direction.

This Lunar New Year, weather conditions at sea are forecast to be relatively favorable for passengers traveling by high-speed boat to Phu Quy Island.
According to Mr. Ngo Minh Pho - Head of Phu Quy Special Economic Zone Tourism Association, owner of Phu Quy Roman resort - the number of visitors during Tet is forecast to be quite large. Many accommodation establishments are close to reaching maximum room capacity in the period from the 3rd to the 6th day of Tet, showing that the demand for tourism at the beginning of the year is increasing.
The train departing at noon on the 29th of Tet not only carried people back to their hometowns, but also brought goods, apricot blossoms and the expectation of a spring of reunion, closing the last transportation rhythm of the old year on the Phan Thiet - Phu Quy sea transport route.
