Youme Law Company Limited said that Article 112 of the 2019 Labor Code stipulates as follows:
Holidays, Tet
1. Employees are entitled to leave work and receive full salary on the following holidays and Tet:
a) New Year's Day: 01 day (January 1st of the solar calendar);
b) Lunar New Year: 05 days;
c) Victory Day: 01 day (April 30 of the solar calendar);
d) International Labor Day: 01 day (May 1st of the solar calendar);
d) National Day: 02 days (September 2nd of the solar calendar and 01 consecutive day before or after);
e) Hung Kings Commemoration Day: 01 day (10th day of the 3rd lunar month).
2. Workers who are foreigners working in Vietnam, in addition to the holidays specified in Clause 1 of this Article, are also entitled to 1 additional day of traditional Lunar New Year and 1 day of National Day of their country.

At the same time, Article 111 of the 2019 Labor Code is as follows:
Weekly breaks
1. Each week, employees are entitled to at least 24 consecutive hours of leave. In special cases where the labor cycle cannot allow weekly leave, the employer is responsible for ensuring that employees are entitled to an average of at least 04 days of leave per month.
2. Employers have the right to decide to arrange weekly holidays on Sundays or other specified days of the week but must record them in the internal labor regulations.
3. If the weekly holiday coincides with the holiday and Tet holiday specified in Clause 1, Article 112 of this Code, the employee is entitled to compensatory weekly holiday on the next working day.
Accordingly, employees will have a work day off, receiving full salary on the Hung Kings Commemoration Day 2026, which is 1 day (March 10th of the lunar calendar). If the weekly day off coincides with a holiday or Tet, employees will have a compensatory weekly day off on the next working day.
Hung Kings Commemoration Festival 2026 holiday schedule
According to the 2026 Van Nien calendar, the Hung Kings Commemoration Day 2026 will fall on Sunday (April 26, 2026 Gregorian calendar).
If employees have weekly days off on Saturdays and Sundays: 3 days off (from April 25, 2026 to the end of April 27, 2026).
If the weekly holiday is Sunday: 2 days off (from April 26, 2026 to the end of April 27, 2026).
- Weekly holidays are not Sundays: 1 day off (April 26, 2026).
