Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the Fatherland Front Party Committee (FPA), Central organizations, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - chaired.
On February 10, 2025, the Party Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor was established according to a new model, on the basis of rearrangement from the Party Committee and the Party Committee of the General Confederation. By July 11, 2025, the Party Committee will continue to consolidate and reorganize with 10 affiliated Party organizations, including 6 grassroots Party Committees and 4 grassroots Party cells. This is a directly superior party organization, under the leadership of the Politburo, the Secretariat and the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, and central organizations.
Recently, implementing Plan No. 04-KH/BCDTW (November 13, 2024) and Conclusion No. 09-KL/BCDTW (November 24, 2024) of the Central Steering Committee on summarizing Resolution No. 18 and directives of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, the Central organizations and the Standing Committees of the Party Committee of the General Confederation of Labor have directed and issued documents, resolutions, and conclusions to orient the work of streamlining the organization and apparatus; directed the Presidium and the Standing Committee of the Presidium to proactively and comprehensively implement the work of streamlining the trade union apparatus at all levels, ensuring progress and requirements. The Party Committee of the General Confederation of Labor has issued policies and orientations to issue more than 20 documents directing and guiding trade unions at all levels to organize asset inventories, financial settlements, organize, arrange staff and handle policies for affected people.
The Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the General Confederation of Labor has directed Party committees at all levels to coordinate with the professional organization to organize a number of activities to care for union members and workers in the trade union system. Social activities, welfare care, support for union members and workers, especially union members and workers in difficult circumstances, those who have had work accidents, occupational diseases, and have outstanding achievements in production and trade union activities are regularly cared for and maintained.
In the first 6 months of the year, 11.35 million union members, workers and their relatives have benefited from caring activities organized by the Union (an increase of 9.25% compared to 2024, with a total budget of VND 7,800 billion (an increase of 9% compared to 2024).
In the first 6 months of the year, 507,000 new union members were admitted, 2,417 new grassroots unions were established; 54,266 outstanding union members were introduced to the Party, of which 21,285 were admitted. Party building work is focused on, consolidating expenditures and party committees after the reorganization; issuing new regulations and work programs; there are no petitions, letters, complaints or denunciations from cadres and party members.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Central Trade Unions, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - emphasized that one of the contents of asking for opinions from delegates is the draft political report of the Party Executive Committee of the General Confederation at the 1st Congress for the 2025-2030 term.
This is the central document of the congress, expressing the viewpoint and orientation to establish the development of key tasks for the entire Party Committee in the coming term. The report has been directed by the Standing Committee of the Party Committee to be developed on the basis of closely following the orientation of the Central Committee, the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, and Central organizations.
