In his opening speech, Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the Hanoi City Police - emphasized: The 20th Congress, term 2025 - 2030, took place in the context of the whole country competing to achieve achievements to celebrate major holidays, towards the 14th National Party Congress. This is also the time for the entire Party, people and army to implement the strategic resolutions of the Politburo, bringing the country into a new era of development.
The Congress is an important milestone continuing the tradition of 80 years of building, fighting and growing of the heroic capital police force, absolutely loyal to the Party and devoted to the people.
During the 2020 - 2025 term, the Hanoi City Police Party Committee has closely followed the direction of the Central Public Security Party Committee, the Ministry of Public Security and the Hanoi City Party Committee; promoted the proactive and creative spirit, comprehensively implementing the goals and tasks set by the 28th Congress.
The outstanding results are the work of building and rectifying the Party and building a clean and strong force. The Party Committee has issued nearly 1,000 resolutions, programs, and comprehensive plans in all fields. The work of inspection, supervision and enforcement of Party discipline has been carried out seriously, without forbidden areas, contributing to maintaining discipline and improving leadership capacity.
Hanoi City Police also pioneered the implementation of major policies such as streamlining and streamlining the organizational apparatus; completing the rearrangement of the Commune-level Police according to the new model from July 1, 2025; promoting administrative reform, applying technology, digital transformation to serve people and businesses.
The Capital Police force shows determination in fighting against corruption and negativity, practicing thrift, and fighting waste. Many serious corruption and economic cases have been investigated and strictly handled in accordance with the spirit of "no forbidden areas, no exceptions", affirming the prestige and position of Hanoi Police at home and abroad.
With a democratic and responsible spirit, the delegates elected 27 comrades to the Executive Committee of the Hanoi City Police Party Committee, term XXIX. These are exemplary Party members in quality, courage, capacity, and prestige; representing the will and determination to innovate of the entire force.
The new term Executive Committee is expected to continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, lead the entire Party Committee to excellently complete the assigned tasks, build a disciplined, elite, modern Capital Police, contributing to firmly protecting national security and social order and safety.
