Support grassroots trade unions to register for new issuance and change seals
Recently, the Phu Dinh Ward Union, Ho Chi Minh City has coordinated to support dozens of grassroots unions to renew and change their seals.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thang - Chairman of Phu Dinh Ward Trade Union, Ho Chi Minh City - said that Phu Dinh Ward Trade Union currently manages 128 grassroots trade unions. Of which, 68 trade unions have proactively completed procedures to change new seals, while 60 trade unions are in need of changing and renewing seals. Faced with that reality, Phu Dinh Ward Trade Union has had an initiative to coordinate with the Area Management Working Group No. 2 of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward and the ward's socio-political organizations, inviting officers of the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order of Ho Chi Minh City Police (PC 06) to come to the locality to consult and complete procedures to renew and change the seals for grassroots trade unions in the ward.
Ms. Nguyen Thuc Thanh - Chairman of the Trade Union of Son A Dong Joint Stock Company - said that the Trade Union was established a long time ago and had a seal, so at first she was very worried about how the seal change procedure would be. Before going to the consultation, the ward union had given her a detailed list of documents to bring. At the consultation, she and many other grassroots unions were enthusiastically consulted by PC 06 staff to complete procedures and documents. Therefore, in just one session, the Trade Union completed the procedures to change the new seal.
Similarly, Mr. Thai Hong Dung - Chairman of the Trade Union of Le Lai Secondary School - said that during his previous term, he had gone through the procedures to change the seal and it took a lot of time. But this time, thanks to PC 06 staff enthusiastically coming to the locality to advise and support the procedures, changing the seal is very convenient, quick, and does not take much time.
Supporting grassroots trade unions to change and renew seals not only helps standardize management work, but also enhances the legality of grassroots trade union transactions, thereby contributing to building a strong union system - Mr. Nguyen Van Thang said.
Coordinate care for union members and workers
The Trade Union Meal in many businesses in Ho Chi Minh City recently has the mark of the Ward Union. On the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2025), the Binh Dong Ward Trade Union coordinated with the Trade Union of Kim Hang Plastic aluminum Joint Stock Company and the Board of Directors of the company to organize a Trade Union Meal for nearly 300 employees of the company, worth 55,000 VND/meal, an increase of 30,000 VND compared to normal meals. Workers enjoyed special meals including duck salad, roast duck, steamed shrimp, beer soft drinks and desserts... Binh Dong Ward Union also presented 30 gifts including necessities to workers of the company in difficult circumstances.
Similarly, Cat Lai Ward Trade Union also coordinated with Son Kim Production and Trading Joint Stock Company to organize the "Union Meal" program in 2025 with the theme "Understanding love, warm solidarity" with the participation of nearly 200 employees. In addition to the company's main shift meal, worth VND24,000, the Organizing Committee also added a meal worth VND50,000/ portion, including grilled chicken, canned milk, fruit and yogurt.
Meanwhile, the Hoa Hung Ward Union has coordinated with a business to donate the cost of studying for the 2025-2026 school year to the children of two union members in difficult circumstances. The support costs include uniforms, textbooks, school supplies at the beginning of the school year and the school's revenues are paid according to the actual monthly receipts, expected to be about 20 million VND/school year/student sponsored by the enterprise.
Attending the Union Meal at the Union of Kim Hang aluminum and Plastic Joint Stock Company, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation Pham Chi Tam thanked the company's Board of Directors for their attention and the proactiveness of the Ward Union in facilitating the organization of the "Union Meal", thereby strengthening the connection between workers, unions and businesses.
Mr. Tam also suggested that union members, employees, and grassroots unions work hard, strive to compete, increase labor productivity, and stick with the company and union organization, thereby contributing to building the business to develop more and more.
