On May 17, the Trade Union of Nghi Son Economic Zone and Industrial Parks of Thanh Hoa province (Nghi Son Trade Union) organized a Sports Festival for workers, civil servants, and laborers (CNVCLD) in 2024.
The opening ceremony of the sports festival was attended by Mr. Nguyen Minh Canh - Vice Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor, representatives of the leaders of Nghi Son Economic Zone and Industrial Parks of Thanh Hoa province, Nghi Son Trade Union and nearly 300 athletes from 16 affiliated grassroots trade unions.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Ngo The Anh - Chairman of Nghi Son Economic Zone Trade Union and industrial parks of Thanh Hoa province - said that every year, the unit has directed the affiliated grassroots trade unions to promote the movement of physical training and sports at the grassroots level; maintain sports clubs, teams at the unit; Organize activities on the occasion of holidays, New Year, establishment of agencies and enterprises; Organizing or coordinating many sports tournaments, sports festivals with popular subjects such as football, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, tug of war, dance, etc., thereby attracting a large number of union members to attend.
Responding to Workers' Month, Labor Safety and Hygiene Action Month in 2025; welcoming Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term and celebrating the 18th anniversary of the founding of Nghi Son Trade Union (June 18, 2007 - June 18, 2025), the 2025 Workers' Sports Festival organized by Nghi Son Trade Union attracted nearly 300 athletes from 16 grassroots trade unions to participate.
At the sports festival, athletes competed in 4 sports including: men's volleyball, women's volleyball, table tennis and badminton. In the spirit of a united, honest and noble sport, the athletes competed with all their might, giving the audience dramatic and exciting competitions.
It is known that the sports festival will take place on May 17 and 18. At the end of the sports festival, the Organizing Committee will award medals and awards to the teams with outstanding achievements.
