According to the propaganda guidelines to celebrate the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (July 28, 1929 – July 28, 2026) of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, there are 5 propaganda contents, including: Glorious historical traditions and contributions of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour; the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State on building the working class, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour organization and implementing the Resolution of the XIV Vietnam General Confederation of Labour Congress; activities to care for, represent, and protect union members and workers; protect the ideological foundation of the Party, protect the Trade Union organization; activities to celebrate the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour.
In which, propaganda on the results of 5 years of implementing Resolution 02-NQ/TW dated June 12, 2021 of the Politburo on Innovating the organization and operation of the Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation and the results of 10 years of implementing Directive 52-CT/TW dated January 9, 2016 of the Secretariat on Strengthening the Party's leadership in improving the spiritual life of workers in industrial parks and export processing zones at all levels of trade unions. Propaganda on goals, targets, tasks, solutions, key programs and projects of the Trade Union organization for the 2026 - 2031 term; results of implementing the Resolution of the XIV Vietnam Trade Union Congress at all levels; patriotic emulation movements among workers, civil servants, and laborers, focusing on the emulation movement "Good labor, high productivity, good income"; results of promoting initiatives, technical innovations, digital transformation, and improving labor productivity.
The content of propaganda also focuses on activities to represent, care for, and protect the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; union member welfare programs, dialogues, and collective bargaining; activities to care for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers; "Trade Union Meals" activities, social security programs, and support for union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
Another content of propaganda focused on is protecting the ideological foundation of the Party; fighting against wrong, hostile views, toxic information, distortion, and denial of the role of the working class and the Vietnam Trade Union organization. Proactively grasp the ideological situation and public opinion among workers, civil servants, and laborers; strengthen the spread of positive information, improve skills in receiving and processing information on the network environment for union members and laborers.
The purpose and requirements of this activity are to widely propagate among cadres, union members, workers and the whole society about the glorious historical tradition of the Vietnam Trade Union in 97 years of construction and development; affirming the role, position, functions, tasks and great contributions of the Vietnam Trade Union organization to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.
Widely disseminate the Resolution of the 11th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union; key goals, targets, tasks, solutions, programs, and projects for the 2026 - 2031 term; create a vibrant emulation atmosphere, encourage cadres, union members, and workers to be determined to successfully implement the Resolution of the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union.
Consolidating belief, arousing pride, self-reliance, self-strengthening will, spirit of innovation, creativity, and aspiration to contribute of cadres, union members, and workers; promoting the pioneering role of the working class in science and technology development, innovation, digital transformation and international integration.
The VGCL requests that propaganda and commemorative activities be organized with focus, key points, practical, effective, economical, and suitable to the practical conditions of each sector, locality, and unit; strongly oriented towards grassroots levels, associated with caring for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers.
