From the reality of work, Mr. Thiet spent 3 months researching, designing and 3 months constructing and manufacturing a 2,000kg lift for production.
Initiative to help change transportation methods in factories: from 5 loading and unloading workers to 2 people, saving about 1.2 million VND/day, equivalent to more than 374 million VND per year.
Not only that, shortening transportation time also helps increase production productivity, bringing in about 2 million VND of value per day. In total, businesses save up to billions of VND in production costs each year.
Those efforts have brought him many awards such as the Consolation Award of the 9th Provincial Technical Innovation Contest; the National "Excellent Young Worker" Award in 2023 awarded by the Central Youth Union; the Nguyen Duc Canh Award of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and many certificates of merit from businesses. Mr. Thiet is certified as an outstanding advanced example in the patriotic emulation movement in the period 2020 - 2025.
According to Mr. Thiet, learning to master science and technology not only takes place in lecture halls but must also be done every day during the working process.
After following the directing speech of General Secretary and President To Lam at the 13th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Mr. Thiet said that he was particularly impressed with the message of building a generation of young people who study for life, master science and technology, and be pioneers in innovation, digital transformation and international integration.
According to him, this is not only a major orientation of the Party for young people but also an inevitable requirement in the context of rapidly changing industrial production. If young people do not actively learn, update new technologies and boldly create, it will be difficult to meet the increasing demands of businesses as well as the labor market.
As a worker directly working in a business, I realize that every initiative, no matter how small, contributes to improving labor productivity, reducing production costs and increasing competitiveness for businesses.
Therefore, the advice of General Secretary and President To Lam further motivated me to continue to learn and research more, constantly innovate to create practical solutions to serve production" - Mr. Thiet expressed.
I hope that young people will actively participate in the Youth Union's activities, constantly learn, improve their professional qualifications, foreign languages, digital skills and actively access new technologies. When each union member has a sense of lifelong learning and innovation, we will contribute to building a high-quality young labor force, meeting the requirements of national development in the new era" - Mr. Nguyen Van Thiet shared.
