On January 20, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation (LDLD), Area Management Task Force No. 5 organized a Sports Festival to connect the worker-soldier relationship, taking place in the Con Dao special zone with the participation of officers and soldiers of the armed forces, union members, and workers.
This is an activity under the "Tet of Affection between Workers and Soldiers" program organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, aimed at taking care of the 2026 Lunar New Year in a practical and meaningful way for workers, officials, and soldiers in the Don Dao special zone.
In the sports festival, soldiers in units and workers were divided into teams, enthusiastically participating in racing in slow cycling; backpack jump; team rope jump; tug of war... The Organizing Committee also awarded prizes to teams with high achievements.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, the sports festival is not only a spring sports activity, but also a connecting bridge, a strong bond connecting the feelings of Workers - Soldiers, connecting workers with soldiers who are day and night guarding the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland.
Through the sports festival, it has vividly demonstrated the spirit of solidarity, sharing, and companionship; where the hands of laborers and the hands holding guns hold each other tightly in laughter, in the common joy of the approaching traditional national Tet holiday; Contributing to spreading deep humanistic values, fostering trust and camaraderie between forces that share the responsibility of building and protecting the country.

On the same day, the working delegation also visited a number of policy families in difficult circumstances in the Con Dao special zone. At each destination, the delegation visited and encouraged families, and at the same time presented gifts worth 2 million VND to support families to overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.
Previously, on January 19, within the framework of the program, the working delegation visited and offered incense to commemorate heroic martyrs at Hang Duong Cemetery, Con Dao Temple; visited and encouraged, and presented Tet gifts to a number of armed forces units in the area.
