Over the past term, the Trade Unions at all levels of Dong Thap province have proactively taken advantage of the leadership and direction of the Party, closely coordinated with the government, sectors, unions, and accompanied enterprises to increase resources and combined strength for Trade Union activities and conditions to care for members and workers, said Mr. Phan Van Thang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Thap province.
Trade unions at all levels have created many good practices, enhancing comprehensive care for union members and workers. Also with this method, from 2024 to present, 372 trade unions have organized "Union Meals" for 74,856 union members and employees with meals from 40,000 - 250,000 VND. In addition, the Trade Union also proactively signed and maintained the "DV Welfare" program with 365 units and enterprises inside and outside the province in essential fields with preferential policies and discounts from 5 - 30%; bringing practical benefits to 83,241 members and employees with a total amount of more than VND4.9 billion.
In addition to regularly innovating the content and methods of operation, the Provincial Federation of Labor also proactively coordinates with many media agencies, has just launched a technology application and instructed 100% of grassroots unions to build fanpages/Zalo groups, posting more than 10,000 news articles. Thanks to that, the key contents are disseminated very promptly.
Regarding cultural life, the model of "Self-managed workers' group in boarding houses" continues to flourish with 91 areas (8,200 employees) and the game show "After work hours" is maintained periodically. In particular, the Trade Union Institution and Social Housing Project in My Tho Industrial Park, Trung An Industrial Cluster is being implemented with a capital of 449 billion VND, when completed, it will provide accommodation for about 8,500 workers.

With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", the 1st Dong Thap Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030, is identified as an important political event to build a breakthrough strategy in terms of content and methods of operation, creating a premise to arouse aspirations for the working class to strive to build a rich and civilized homeland, firmly entering the new era.
First of all, it is necessary to build a truly strong and comprehensive Dong Thap Provincial Trade Union organization, innovate and flexibly adapt to the requirements of the digital transformation period; innovate the content and methods of trade union activities, attract and gather workers to join trade unions; focus on training and improving the quality of professional, responsible and dedicated trade union cadres; thereby arousing the aspiration to rise up of union members and workers.
Actively participate in building a clean and strong Party and government, building a modern and strong working class, contributing to the development of Dong Thap province in a rapid and sustainable manner.
