More than 3,200 initiatives of Binh Duong workers bring in over 400 billion VND in profit

Innovation helps increase productivity, save costs

Since the union's launch, workers have strived to compete in production and have many initiatives and improvements to help increase productivity, save costs and increase safety.

Notably, such as the case of Mr. Ho Pham Dien (born in 1988, from Ca Mau, is the head of the hardware mechanical team at Hiep Long Company Limited). During his work, he had the initiative to make a pipe bending clamp and a round pipe welding roller. After improvement, the product is not distorted, has high precision and is more beautiful, easy to process, anyone can do it.

Besides, it reduces the use of raw materials and saves labor. This initiative of Mr. Dien has brought the company a profit of 1,031 billion VND/year.

At Bao Van Plastic Joint Stock Company, Mr. Le The Thanh Tam (born in 1997, from Quang Tri, works as a maintenance staff). During his 4 years of work, Mr. Tam has always completed his assigned tasks well. In 2023-2024, Mr. Tam manufactured 2 plastic bottle stacking machines used in the factory. After the evaluation process, his plastic bottle stacking machine has brought economic efficiency to the company. According to this company's estimate, the value of Mr. Tam's invention helps the company's economy by about 1.4 billion VND/year.

Meanwhile, at Fabtek Vietnam Co., Ltd. (wooden furniture manufacturing), Mr. Pham Thanh Nhan (born in 1979, from Tien Giang) found a way to sand the edges of painted goods faster and more effectively; changed the way of making WD glass doors to be more convenient and easier to do. These two initiatives of Mr. Nhan increased productivity, saving the company 35 million VND per month. The products made are of better quality, helping the company get more new orders.

Not only that, Mr. Nhan also had an initiative to improve the repair of IMZ punching machines and milling machines, saving the company 127 million VND; contributed ideas to improve the replacement of equipment and repair of H1303 press brake machines, saving 219.5 million VND and avoiding a loss of about 1 billion VND due to the machine temporarily stopping production and business. The total value of the initiatives is about 1.3 billion VND.

“During my work, I always continuously learn from my colleagues and superiors, improve my knowledge and improve my work skills. I try to complete well the work that my superiors trust me to do,” Mr. Nhan shared.

Profit over 400 billion VND

According to the Binh Duong Provincial Federation of Labor, in 2024, in response to the movement launched by the Union, union members in the province had 3,203 initiatives recognized with a value of over 400 billion VND. Many collectives and individuals were rewarded.

Mr. Bui Thanh Nhan - Head of the Mass Mobilization Committee of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee - highly appreciated the Trade Unions at all levels of Binh Duong province for promoting patriotic emulation movements among workers, civil servants and laborers. Thereby, motivating workers to strive to excellently complete the set goals.

According to Mr. Bui Thanh Nhan, this year, 183 union members with outstanding achievements were awarded certificates of merit by the People's Committee of Binh Duong province. Mr. Bui Thanh Nhan commented that this is a worthy reward for workers who have made important contributions to the development of the enterprise.

Ms. Nguyen Kim Loan - President of Binh Duong Provincial Federation of Labor - said that good workers have initiatives and technical innovations that benefit businesses. Thereby, workers have stable jobs and higher salaries; demonstrating the will and determination of workers to spread to colleagues in the business while also contributing to the economic development of Binh Duong province.
